Booneville, KY – Silven Fairchild, 76, of Rt. 1, passed away on January 13, 2010 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Lexington, KY after a long illness. He was a retired minister with the Church of God and a Shriner. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was born on November 8, 1933, in West Liberty, KY to the late Roy and Bessie Brown Fairchild. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lylian Turner Fairchild of Booneville, KY; a son, Jeff (& Vicky) Fairchild of Springfield, OH and a daughter, Tammy Fairchild of Ezel, KY; three grandsons, Shane, Jason & Brock and a granddaughter, Lindsey; six brothers, Edward (& Nancy) Fairchild of Yuma, AZ, Junior Fairchild of Morehead, KY, Vernal (& Maggie) Fairchild of Springfield, OH, Lawrence Fairchild of Ripley, West Virginia, Wilburn (& Barbara) Fairchild of Richmond, Virginia, and James (& Vickie) Fairchild of Batavia, OH; two sisters, Dorothy Baisel, West Liberty, KY and Wilma (& Johnny) Sexton, also of West Liberty, KY. Rev. Fairchild was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ernest; two sister-in-laws, Remona Gay Fairchild and Stella Fairchild; and a great grandson, Alexander. Farmer, Audrey Fields Edwards

Booneville, KY- Audrey (Fields) Edwards-Farmer, age 93, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Audrey was born February 5, 1930, in Clay County, KY, a daughter to the late Virgil and Martha (Byrd) Fields. Audrey was a member of the Stone Coal Baptist Church at Farmers Ridge in Lee County, KY where she was the church clerk and treasurer for many years. She was a good Christian woman who loved the Lord. She not only read his word but lived by it as well. She was Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Susan Chapter No. 106 at Travelers Rest, KY and Martha Clark No. 201 OES at Sextons Creek, KY. During her lifetime she was a daughter, a sister, a teacher, a mother, a farmer, a factory worker, an employee of the Owsley County Health Department and a long-term volunteer of the Owsley County Historical Society. She is survived by 1 son; Wallace (Rita) Edwards of Booneville, KY, 2 sisters; Myrtle Napier of Vandalia, OH and Grace McIntosh, of Arcanum OH. McKee, KY- Bill Farmer, age 91, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Marcum and Wallace Hospital in Irvine, KY. Bill was born March 5,1931, in Beattyville, KY, a son to the late Dewey and Nannie (Mainous) [* daughter of Edgar & Maggie Mae Bond Mainous] Farmer. Bill retired from AK Steel after 35 years of service. Bill proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1950 thru 1953. Bill had the honor of being the oldest member of 4-H in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and was a lifetime member of the Jack Welch DAV Chapter 165. He was a member of the Old Orchard Baptist Church. Farmer, Carol Marcum

Carol Farmer, 85, departed this life on June 28, 2015 at Rush Memorial Hospital in Rushville, IN. Carol was born in Cressmont in Lee County, Kentucky on November 1, 1929 to Lewis and Geneva Smith Marcum. She graduated from Booneville High School and attended Eastern Kentucky University. Carol taught school at Mount Eagle School on Farmer Ridge in Lee County, Kentucky where she met Hershel Farmer whom she married on April 27, 1951. After moving to Indiana and raising a family Carol worked for Hooks Drug from which she retired. Carol was a member of the Stone Coal Baptist Church, Lee County, KY, past member of the Eastern Star Falmouth Chapter No. 500, Falmouth, IN and Dorcas Circle at Orange Christian Church, Orange, IN. Carol is survived by her children: Michael Farmer and companion Kim Cox of Liberty, IN; Donna (Roger) Comingore of Rushville, IN; grandchildren: Bradley (Lisa) Sizemore, Rushville, IN; Gregory (Tameeka) Sizemore of Laurel, IN; Nichole (Mark) Williams of Connersville, IN; step-grandchildren: Alaina (Brian) Rejer, Indianapolis, IN and Annette (Bill) Forrester also of Indianapolis, IN; brothers: William D. Farmer, Kevin Keith

Kevin Keith Farmer of Hamilton, age 64, passed away on July 16, 2023. He was born on September 17, 1958, in Middletown, Ohio, to the late William Farmer (*Son of Dewey & Nannie Mainous Farmer) and Eddie (Harrison) Farmer. Kevin attended Garfield High School in Hamilton and received his diploma while serving his country in the United States Army. He was very proud to be commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel. Kevin held various jobs throughout his life including the Beckett Paper Co., however his most notable position was as a Service Manager at Post Browning Inc. Kevin had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed spending his time gardening, fishing, and hunting. He also had a passion for learning about technology. Kevin was a devoted fan of the Cincinnati Reds and attended numerous Opening Day games. He also supported and attended countless Cincinnati Bengals games. Kevin's love for his family was centered around his daughter, whom he adored with all his heart. He is survived by his daughter, Lauren (Zac) Campbell ; sisters, Katrena (Mike) Engel, Renee (Jeff) Smallwood, Tina (Doyle) Turner; his partner of 15 years, Deborah Thompson; former spouse of 25 years, Karen Farmer; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends. Sally Kay (nee: Oldham) Farmer, 72, of South Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023. Born on February 15, 1951 to Ellis and Minnie (nee: Allen) Oldham in Island City, KY, Sally was a member of the Highview Community Church. Sally enjoyed spending time with her family. She took great joy in being a mom and mamaw. She will be missed by all who knew her. Brenda Tirey Strickland Farris, 65, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2019 surrounded by family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She leaves to morn her passing her devoted husband William “Skeet” Farris; three children, Billy, Susan, and Michael (Natalie) Strickland; four bonus children, Tameka Clark, Mark (Ramona) Strickland, Bobby Strickland, and Valerie (Kenny) Clay; her beloved grandchildren, Cassie (Zach) Eby, Clairre Strickland, Mindy Thomas, Kyra and Kelly “Cammi” Stewart, Jaleea Clark, Faith Jackson, Don Haygood, Mya and Maxine Strickland; three great grandchildren, Layla and William Eby, and Wesley Strickland; one sister, Tricia (Tom) Welson; one brother, Tim (Kim) Tirey; one maternal aunt, Loretta (Clyde) Ramey, one special cousin, Gail (Bob) Jordan; sister-in-laws, Edna Grace Farris, Lummi Hill, Mildred Patton, Emma Johnson, and Pearl Lee Mitchell; and a host of cousins. Bessie Clarice Farthing, 83, widow of Howard Farthing, Sr., passed away July 14, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. Farthing was born in Owsley County on March 28, 1927 to the late Green and Drury Rowland Yarber. She was of the Baptist faith. Her survivors include five sons; Danny Farthing (Wanda), Ronnie Farthing (Jennifer), Greg Farthing (Karen), Randy Farthing (Sue), Ricky Farthing (Krista), three daughters; Judy Abner, Vickie Harney (Sam), Darlene Carpenter (Gudgell), two daughters-in-law; Margie Farthing, Mary Farthing, one brother; Jesse Yarber, two sisters; Ann Blanton, Geneva Harvey, 23 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Cody Clay Farthing, son of Jamie Michelle Svatba Farthing and the late Freddie Wayne Farthing, Jr., was born in Clay County, Kentucky on July 24, 1996 and departed this life in Winchester, Kentucky on Monday, May 4, 2015 at the age of 18 years, 9 months, and 10 days. Cody was a member of the Gilliam Baptist Church and also attended the Springstreet Baptist Church in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. He was also involved in the Winchester Police Explorers. Feller, Pearl Reed

Pearl Feller, age 89, of Sunman Indiana, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014 at her residence. Born in Kentucky, she was a daughter to Robert and Stanley Hurst Reed {*in the 1930 Island City, Owsley County census with: her father Robert age 36 and her mother Stanley age 29 and siblings: Helen age 4, Virgie age 3 and Lonzo age 7/12}. Pearl married Cornelius O. Feller and he preceded her in death on May 26, 1999. She was a homemaker most of her life, but also worked at US Shoe in Harrison. Pearl enjoyed farming and spending time with her family. Survivors includ; sons, Jerome Feller (Marsha McCleery) of Sunman, and Charlie (Freida) Feller of Brookville; daughters, Dorothy Noel of Brookville, Mary Bryant of Sunman, Margie (Duane) Reese of Brookville; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and great, great, great grandchildren, as well as brother, Benny (Margie) Reed of Sunman. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and a retired farmer. The daughter of Isaac Hugh and Elizabeth Eversole Gabbard, she was born on March 9, 1913 in Owsley County. She is survived by a brother, Michael (& wife Marjorie) Gabbard and a sister-in-law, Naomi Gabbard, both of Booneville, KY; also several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Eugene, Douglas and Steven; four sisters, Grace, Ida, Nancy and Ruth. Booneville, KY – Mr. Albert Fields, 68, died Sunday, October 10, 2004 at Kentucky River Medical Center, Jackson, Kentucky following a brief illness. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Born in Owsley County, Kentucky on January 16, 1936, he was the son of the late Robert Albert and Elizabeth Caudill Fields, who preceded him in death. He is survived by three sons, Mr. Bruce Fields and wife Pam of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mr. Robert Fields and wife Linda and Mr. Geoffrey Fields, all of Booneville; two daughters, Mrs. Christine Cherry of Cincinnati, Ohio and Mrs. Lisa Hawkey of Louisville, Kentucky; 20 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mae Reynolds of Alexandria, Kentucky and Mrs. Amanda Miles of Carrollton, Kentucky; and a special friend and caretaker, Mr. Charles Melley of Booneville, Kentucky. Fields, Charles "Chuck" Hugh Sr.

Born in Booneville, Kentucky to Mae Gross Fields and Hubert Fields. Upon completion of High School he enrolled in Eastern Kentucky University. He honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After the war, he re-enrolled at Eastern Kentucky University, where he was a varsity basketball player and earned his Bachelor’s degree. He later earned a Master of Science degree in Counseling. In 1965 Chuck moved to Florida and served as the guidance counselor at Boca Raton High School. After leaving the education profession, he became a Claims Adjuster with State Farm Insurance and later upon receiving his Insurance license a Nationwide Insurance Agent. He became a small business owner, opening Fields Insurance Agency in Boca Raton with his wife Victoria and serving as its president for twenty years. Prominent among his many achievements, he was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Scottish and York Rites, a Shriner (AmaraTemple). Chuck attended Advent Lutheran Church of Boca Raton. He was a life-long sports fanatic and staunch University of Florida Gator Booster for the past twenty-eight years. Chuck is predeceased by his parents and his first wife, Fosteen Spencer Fields. He is survived by: his wife of thirty-one years, Victoria Ann Fields; his daughter Diane Freglette (Daniel); his sons Charles “JR” Fields, Jr., Gregory Bonner (Katherine), and Michael Bonner (Kelley) and five grandchildren; Sarah Freglette, Christopher Bonner, Angelique Bonner, Ashley Bonner, and Joseph Bonner. FIELDS, Gracie (Combs) age 78 of Morrow, Ohio passed peacefully Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at her home with her family by her side. Born June 13, 1930 in Ricetown, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Sam and Mary (Bowman) Combs and had worked for the Totes Company in Loveland, Ohio, Valley Kitchens in Lebanon, Ohio and Springtime Bulb in Lebanon, Ohio. Gracie was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed flower gardening, sewing (quilting) and ceramics. Preceded in death by her parents, dear husband - Brown Fields in 2004, five brothers - Eugene, Dan, Marion, Edward and John Combs and granddaughter - Casey Renee Fields in July 2008; she is survived by her loving and caring children - Phillip (Rhonda) Fields of Morrow, Ohio, Johnny (Barbara) Fields of Loveland, Ohio, Lillian (Clay) Taylor of Leoma, Tennessee and Veronica (David) Tobler of Pleasant Plain, Ohio; grandchildren - Kristina, Phillip, Brandon, Brian, Tony, Debbie and John Paul Fields, Tonia Taylor-Smith, Diana Langston and Dionn Saylor; fifteen great-grandchildren and many other family members, friends and neighbors. James “Jim” Fields, aged 59, passed away on December 15,2020 at University Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born in May of 1961 to William and Dorothy [daughter of Callie McIntosh Reynolds] Fields. He was a 1979 graduate of Dayton High School. He worked as a warehouse supervisor for many years. He was an amazing coach of Baseball, Basketball and Football, affectionately known as “Coach Fields”. One of his greatest joys in life was mentoring and making an impact on the lives of every player on his teams, and make an impact he did. He was inducted into the Dayton Youth Football Hall of Fame in 2017. Jim lived life to the fullest and had an uncanny ability to light up any room he walked into. He is survived by his loving wife, Michaele, his mother Dorothy, his children Brittany (Bill) Luchsinger, Josh Fields and Abbey Fields. His grandchildren Jordan Roberts, Kaylee Luchsinger and Cole Luchsinger. His sister Janice (Oscar) Brummett, as well as his nephews Pete (Jill) Brummett, Chris Brummett, and Alex (Jessica) Brummett and his niece Jennifer (Chris) Abatello. Johnny B. Fields, age 62 of Loveland, Ohio passed peacefully Friday morning, January 1, 2010 at Hospice of Cincinnati with his family by his side. Born March 12, 1947 in Ricetown, Kentucky, he was the son of Brown and Gracie (Combs) Fields and had been a maintenance worker with the Comco Company in Milford, Ohio. Booneville, KY – Robert Joseph Fields, 45, husband of Linda Perry Fields, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2006, at his residence. Robert was born February 5, 1961, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Albert Junior and Mary Christine Breadon Fields. He was a self-employed carpenter and a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Booneville, KY. Along with his wife of 25 years, he is survived by two sons, Roderick (& Shannon) Fields and Anthony Fields, both of Booneville, KY; six grandchildren; two brothers, Bruce Fields of Cincinnati, Ohio and Geoffrey Fields of Booneville, KY; two sisters, Christine Fields of Virginia and Lisa Hawkey of Hamilton, OH; and a host of relatives and friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew. William “Billy” Ray Fields, 45, of Connersville, passed away on November 28, 2021. Billy was born on November 11, 1976 and is the son of Glenn E. and Goldie M. [*daughter of David & Radie Lynch Maggard, granddaughter of William & Alice Young Lynch] Fields. Billy’s passion was video games of any kind. He also enjoyed a good drink after work. He was known for his hat and never left home without it. He had worked at Pizza King North in Connersville for nearly 20 years. Billy will be missed by his daughters, Ashley Lynn Fields (companion Zac) and Chloe Mae Fields; a son, William James Fields; as well as two brothers, Timothy Fields and Kenneth Fields. Helen Bernice Finkbine, age 85 of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at her residence. Helen was born on November 24, 1931 in Hamilton, the daughter of the late James T. and Hazel M. (Pendergrass) {* believed to be the daughter of William T. & Maggie Neeley Pendergrass} Bowman. On June 8, 1977 in Hamilton, she married her husband of 39½ years, Warren B. Finkbine, Sr. Helen retired as a nurse's aide from Fort Hamilton Hospital and attended Hamilton Christian Center. She showed ponies for over 30 years and was a member of the Ohio Hackney Pony Association. Helen is survived by her husband, Warren; children, James (Darlene) Moak, Sandy (Mark) Kuhlmann and David (Brenda) Moak; sister, Judy Bowman; three stepchildren; grandchildren, Curtus, Stephanie, Sherry, Jason and Courtney; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; dogs, Sammy and Coco; and friends too numerous to count. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was born in Vincent, KY, on June 19, 1937, to the late Henry Siegel and Della Pearl McIntire Isaacs. Betty was a kind person, a great cook, and a dear friend. Gerald B. "Jerry" Fitzpatrick Age 73, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away Friday, September 4, 2020, at Springfield Regional Hospital Hospice. He was born on February 28, 1947, in Greene County, Ohio, to Charles P. and Erma M. (Henley) Fitzpatrick who both preceded him in death. Also, preceding Jerry in death are his first wife, Pamela in 1997, and 3 siblings, John, Fred and Kay. He retired in 2008 as a welder/fabricator and went on to serve as custodian at Grace Bible Church until 2018. He was a proud, honorably discharged Army Vietnam Combat Veteran who served during the Tet Offensive. Jerry was a member of Grace Bible Church in Springfield. Irene Flannery was born September 12, 1922 in Owsley County and departed this life Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, being 90 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Hillary Pierce & Clora (Brandenburg) Robinson. Irene is survived by two daughters Linda Gay and her husband Phillip of Beattyville and Wilma Jean Allen of Booneville. She is also survived by a brother, Jack Robinson of McKee. Irene was blessed with 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Flannery, Jacklyn V. Thomas

Jacklyn V. Thomas Flannery age 81 of Hamilton, died at 12:02 pm Saturday, May 10, 2014. She was born in Hamilton, OH, November 6, 1932, the daughter of Marcus Charles and Elizabeth (Cornett) Thomas. She attended school in Ohio and Kentucky and graduated from Xavier University with a BS in Psychology with a double minor in Philosophy and Sociology. She also received a Masters Degree from Xavier University; she accumulated thirty graduate hours over her masters with concentration in the field of the emotionally disturbed child. On November 5, 1955, in Indiana she married Oscar L. Flannery. She was appointed to the Hamilton Police Department November 3, 1956, promoted to Detective in 1970, Sergeant in 1972, Lieutenant in 1976 and Captain in 1983; she retired February 8, 1991. She was responsible for the organization of the Youth Aid Bureau of the Hamilton Police Department in 1959, and was instrumental in the first computerization of the Hamilton Police Department and the hiring of civilian dispatchers and their training. She was assigned to the Youth Aid Bureau for 16 years. Her assignments included positions in patrol, traffic, detective bureau and central records. She served as a Line Captain and Administrative Captain. She was a member and elder of the Westwood Presbyterian Church; member of the Altrusa Club International of Hamilton; Past President of the Women's City Club of Hamilton, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #38 since 1957; Order of the Amaranth; Past Worthy Matron and Past Grand Page of the Order of the Eastern Star, Washington Chapter #195, Ex-Regent and American Heritage State Chairman with National Recognition of Daughters of the American Revolution, John Reily Chapter; Butler County Human Service Council Electorate and member of the Legislative Government Committee; Past President of the YMCA Board of Directors; Vice Chair of the Board of the Children's Service Bureau; Member, YWCA Protective Shelter for Battered Persons and their Children advisory committee; Board of Directors, Center for Forensic Psychiatry; Member of the Board of Trustees Sojourner Dove House and member of the Board of the Children's Diagnostic Center. She received many awards and commendations: 1966 edition of Outstanding Young Women of America; National Register of Prominent American's; Kentucky Colonel Commonwealth of Kentucky by Gov. Edward T. Breathitt and again by Gov. Louis B. Nunn along with letters of commendation; Meritorious Services to the Community Award, Lindenwald Kiwanis International; Woman of the Community Award, Hamilton Jayceettes; Award Plaque in appreciation for Unselfish Dedication to Public Service from the Hamilton Optimist; Named 1985 Woman of the Year by the Blue Limestone Chapter of the American Business Women's Association; YWCA Woman of Achievement. Her life was dedicated to the citizens of Hamilton and Butler County and she believed, "The choices we make dictate the life we lead." She leaves a family with much love, son, Dr. Patrick Flannery and his wife Cheri (Davis) of Liberty Township; daughters Elizabeth Lee Crowe and her husband David Crowe, Sr. of New Albany, Indiana, and Glenna Flannery of Lexington, Kentucky. She was a devoted Grandmother to her four grandchildren, David Lee Crowe Jr. and his wife Kristen (Roll), Jessica Flannery (Spaeth) and husband Andy Spaeth, Benjamin Flannery and Nathan Flannery. She was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Flannery, her parents, and a sister Peggy Renee Thomas. James (Jimmy) Ray Flannery, 71 of London, KY was born March 10, 1946 in Owsley County and died Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at his residence. He was the son of the late James Greene & Fannie Lynch Flannery. Jimmy is survived by one brother, John Flannery and five children: James Michael Flannery, Edward Paul Flannery, Jeffery Ray Flannery, Jimmy Ray (Rachael) Flannery and Amanda Nicole (Joey) Garland. Laura Ella Flannery was born May 21, 1945 in Rushville, IN and departed this life Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the Paoli Health & Living Community in Paoli, IN, being 69 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Thomas & Cora (Isaacs) Flannery. Laura is survived three children, Tommy Flannery of Booneville, Elmer Flannery Jr. and Joyce Flannery both of Paoli, IN. She is also survived by three siblings, Barbara Estes of Connersville, IN, Margaret Tincher and Clinton Flannery both of Sand Gap. Laura was blessed with four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Laura was also preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Flannery; two children, Everett Eugene Flannery and Sylvia Flannery and by a brother, Joe Flannery. Oscar L. Flannery age 77, of Hamilton, died at Heritage Spring Health Care in West Chester at 12:20pm on Wednesday, July 28, 2010. He was born at Travelers Rest, Owsley County, Kentucky, on July 5, 1933, the son of William Hubert and Audrey (Strong) Flannery. Oscar graduated from Owsley County High School and served in the Unites States Army Tank Corp from 1953 to 1955. He retired from Steven Graphics Company in 1996, and was a Licensed Real Estate Agent for Beaty Realty from January 30, 1970 until the present. Oscar worked twelve years at National Lead Company of Ohio at Fernald. He was an active member of the Westwood Presbyterian Church; a member of the Benjamin Franklin Lodge #719, F&AM; Hamilton Chapter #21 Royal Arch Masons; Hamilton Council #19, Royal and Select Masons; Hamilton Commandry #41, Knights Templar; Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati; Syrian Temple, Hamilton Shrine Club; life member of the Desert Holding Corp; Past Patron of Washington Chapter #195, Order of the Eastern Star; Supreme Council Order of the Amaranth; Fraternal Order of Police Associates, Lodge #19; life member of the Optimist Club where he served as Treasurer and a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. He was a man who touched many lives in a positive manner and always thought of everyone before himself. Oscar leaves a family with much love, his wife of 55 years, Jacklyn (Thomas) Flannery; son, Dr. Patrick O. Flannery and wife Cheri of Hamilton; daughter, Elizabeth Lee Crowe and her husband David Lee, Sr., of New Albany, Indiana; and Glenna Y. Flannery of Lexington, Kentucky. Raymond Max Flannery, 84, husband of Sandy Crutcher Flannery, died Friday May 20, 2022. Born in Booneville, KY on January 17, 1938, he was the son of the late Hubert and Audrey Strong Flannery. Max was the owner/operator of Loudon Square Buffet for 48 years and an Army veteran. Additional survivors include his son, H. Flannery, Terry Mahlon

Terry Mahlon Flannery, 61, a lifelong Fayette County resident, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at his home in rural Fayette County. One of eight children of William Hargis (*son of Abraham F. & Minnie Mays Flannery, grandson of Michael & Emaline Gabbard Flannery) and Frances Elizabeth VanWinkle Flannery, Terry was born November 27, 1961 in Fayette County and graduated from Connersville High School in 1980. Terry was employed at Visteon for 24 years until its closing and then worked at Keihin in Greenfield for many years. Terry was very proud to have been a welder at various places including several siloes in Fayette County. In his leisure time, he enjoyed woodworking, coon hunting, watching TV, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and family man. Survivors include two children, Miquela (Brad) Snyder and Mahlon (Jennifer) Flannery all of Connersville; four grandchildren, Jackson Snyder, Tucker Snyder, Zooey Flannery, and Brayden Flannery; two step-grandchildren, Daykota Gipson and Izzabelle Beaty; seven siblings, Sherry (Bob) Miller of Colorado, Sandy (Dale) Mathews of Milroy, Chrystal Morton of Glenwood, Roxanne Hinchman of Connersville, William Flannery, Jr. of Milroy, Janice (John) Matney of Glenwood, and Eugena Flannery of Brownsville; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Sharlon "Granny" Flinchum, 66, died Thursday, July 11, 2013 at her residence in Jessamine County. She was born in Lexington, daughter of the late Otis and Thelma Hurt Fain. She was a horse groomer for The Training Center and a member of Bethel Christian Church. Frank Dewayne Forman, age 55 of Manchester, KY, left this life on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. Frank was born in Hamilton, Ohio on June 14, 1961 to Willis Frank Forman and Judy Forman. Brookville - Beulah Foster, 73, [12/12/1916-02/12/1990] Metamora, died Monday at the home of her daughter-in-law, Marina Foster, in Connersville. She was a native of Owsley County, Ky. [daughter of Finley & Martha May Sizemore Edwards], and had lived in Franklin County most of her life. She was a member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church. Her husband, Harold Foster, died in 1969. Survivors include five sons, James Cox and Robert Cox, both of Metamora, Kenneth Cox of Brookville, Edward Cox of Lexington, Ky., and Wink Foster of Brookville; four sisters, Holly Lancaster and Maude Sellers, both of Liberty, Geraldine Casteel of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Geneva Casteel of Metamora; three brothers, Howard Edwards of Rushville, Marvin Edwards of Cambridge City, Cliff Edwards of Metamora; 14 grandchildren; six great-granchildren. One son, William Foster, died Oct. 12, 1989. Two brothers and one sister also are deceased. Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Elm Grove Baptist Church, Metamora, with Pastor Fletcher Callahan officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Judith Gayle (nee Holcomb) Fowler, daughter of the late Glass A. and Helen M. (Short) Holcomb, devoted wife of the late Wendell Fowler, loving mother to Darrell Fowler, Doronna Lanham, Dianne Fowler Brown (Gary), and Dawn Fowler Packer (Dennis). Booneville, KY- Carl Fox Jr, age 71, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at the Owsley County Health Care Center in Booneville, KY. Jr was born April 13, 1951, in Booneville, KY, a son to the late Carl Fox Sr. and Alice (Reed) Fox. He was a retired Recreational Director for the Lee County Correction Center in Beattyville, KY. Jr was a member of the Owsley County Sportsman Club and Owsley Coon Hunters Club winning several awards for having top hunting dog in the club, but his passion was basketball, starting with playing for the Owsley County Owls while in High School, then becoming a KHSAA basketball referee, and in 2004 he was honored by the Owsley County Athletic Department for being a loyal and dedicated fan to the Owsley County Basketball program by not missing a single home game, he faithfully followed the University of KY Wildcats, and was a member of the Booneville Church of Christ. He is survived by loving wife of 45 years Anita (Terry) Fox, 2 daughters; Aneisa Fox and Nikki (Mike) Fox-Bowling both of Booneville, KY, 3 brothers; Roy (Lockie) Fox, Glen (Becky) Fox, both of Booneville, KY and Tommy (Sonya) Fox of Beattyville, KY, 2 sisters; Brenda (Larry) Ellington of Brooksville, FL, and Linda (Tim) Florea of Maineville, OH, along with many other loving family members and friends. David George Fox, born October 11, 1938 and went home to the Lord on May 6, 2022. He was 83 years old and married to his sweetheart Vivian (Venable) Fox for 64 years and 11 months (65 on June 15). They had four children: Melanie Newton, Janet Fox, Jon (Darlena) Fox, Jennifer (Jon) Shaffer. 10 grandchildren: Melissa (Stuart) Banford, Cynthia (Dee) Newton, Alison (Matt) Tighe, Jarod (Daniel) Fox, Katy (Blake) Shaffer, Charles Shaffer, Jake (Allee) Shaffer, Emily Fox, Joey Shaffer, Derek (Gabby) Shaffer. 10 great grandchildren: Olivia Banford, River Newton, Milo Tighe, Emmett Tighe, Aiden Fox, Bayleigh Fox, Tommy Fox, Kayla Fox, Leo Saylor, and Ember Shaffer. He was born in Los Angeles, California and convinced his parents, George and Grace Brahms Fox to move to Eastern Kentucky to serve with the Kentucky Mountain Mission when he was 8 years old. He grew up and married Vivian and they served with the Kentucky Mountain Mission and Idamay Bible Church. They moved to Port Wentworth, Georgia in August 1982 to serve with the Christian and Missionary Alliance (CMA) at Port Wentworth Alliance Church. They moved to Decatur, Georgia in continued service with the CMA and Crossroads Bible Church. He retired from the CMA and moved to Nicholasville, Kentucky in 2005. He worked at several apartment complexes in the area in maintenance until his final retirement. He worshipped and volunteered in different capacities at First Alliance Church in Lexington, Kentucky since 2005. He is survived by his wife, Vivian, four children, ten grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. He was born February 26, 1944, in Owsley County, Kentucky to the late Earnest and Sarah Stacy Fox. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy and retired from the Bluegrass Army Depot, Richmond, Kentucky. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his son, Ernie L. Luther Fox, 76 of Morrow, died Monday, February 17, 2014. Born to Ernest and Sarah (nee: Stacey) Fox on November 1, 1937 in Owsley County, KY. Luther was an outdoor sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He worked and retired from Valley Steal Product Company after 44 years. Wallace Fox, widower of Remonia Fern McIntosh Fox and the son of the late Logan “Log” and Guthery Brandenburg Fox, was born in Owsley County, Kentucky on July 20, 1939 and departed this life in Jackson, Kentucky on October 8, 2016 at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 18 days. He attended the Church of the Living God and worked as a truck driver for the Lee County Fiscal Court. Wallace is survived by two daughters, Eva Durbin and husband Freddie and Joann Reed and husband Ricky; one son, Keith Fox; three grandchildren, Tiffany Couch, Christina Fox, and Emily Fern Reed; six great grandchildren, Jacob Michael Fox, Michaela Fox, Jack Curtis Fox, Caden Fox, Jace Fox, and Jayden Couch. John Clay Frost, 62, of Williamsburg, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday afternoon, September 13, 2022 following a farm accident. John was born April 16, 1960 in Beattyville, Kentucky, one of twelve children of Verlin [*born in Owsley Co. June 06, 1935 & died in Houston Co., Alabama January 10, 2012] and Mary Effie Slover Frost and came to Connersville as a child with his family. He was a 1979 graduate of Connersville High School. On April 12, 1980, he was married to Beth Renee Roberts in Connersville Baptist Temple. In 2011, they purchased a small farm in the Williamsburg area. Mrs. Frost survives. While dating Beth, he became employed at Cox Supermarket. Later, he worked as the assistant meat cutter for the County Market. Following his time at the market, he managed several Pizza Hut locations and then went on to manage Carver’s Family Restaurant in Richmond. Later, he became the food manager at the Wayne County Jail for 14 years. Most recently, he was employed at Beldin in Richmond. A faithful member of Connersville Baptist Temple, John served as a deacon, a trustee, and participated in other church activities. In his leisure, he enjoyed farming and fishing. Most importantly, he loved helping others in need. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Beth Frost; two daughters, Christina (Robb) Kelley of Columbus, Indiana and Heather (Dillon) Brockman of Fountain City, Indiana; five grandchildren, Sophia Brockman, Finnegan Kelley, Joseph Brockman, Aiden Brockman, and Oakley Kelley; eight siblings, Donna Sheplar of Clio, Alabama, Ranona (Nick) Chasteen of Clio, Alabama, David Frost of Ozark, Alabama, Shawn (Cheryl) Frost of Liberty, Indiana, James (Melissa) Frost of Samson, Alabama, Mary (Michael) Terry of Greensburg, Indiana, Kendra (Curt) Fleming of Abbeville, Alabama, and Jehu Frost of Clio, Alabama; his mother and father-in-law, Clyde and Mary Alice Roberts of Connersville; a brother-in-law, David (Tammy) Roberts of Connersville; a sister-in-law, Kim (Keith) Smith of Webster, Indiana; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. FROST, JOHN D., 84, passed away December 14, 2023 at his residence following a sudden illness. He was born April 5, 1939 in Ricetown, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Hardin and Ruby Mason Frost. He was the husband of Naomi Wilson Frost and was a coal miner and had many, many other jobs. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hardin and Ruby Mason Frost; two brothers, Verlon Frost and Mike Frost. Martha (Hacker) Frost, 84, of South Lebanon passed peacefully Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Hospice of Cincinnati. Born July 5, 1926 in Owsley County, KY, the daughter of Bart and Eva Mae (Taylor) Hacker, she was a wonderful homemaker, dear mother and grandmother and loved to cook and make over her children. Preceded in death by her husband Arber Frost, parents, daughter Margaret Smith, brother Clemon Hacker, sisters Glida Wright, Mamie and Kathleen Hacker and Juanita Barrett. She is survived by her sons Dwight (Imogene) and Stanley Frost, bother of South Lebanon, daughters Melinda (John) Blount of Lebanon, Geraldine (Junior) Cole of Morrow and Penny (Lonnie) Colwell of Goshen, brother Franklin (Virginia) Hacker of Kentucky, sister Radie Bishop of Morrow, twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Nellie Brownlee Frost,99, passed away September 24, 2011 at the Fountain Circle Health and Rehab Center in Winchester, Ky., following a long illness. She was born May 22, 1912 in Owsley County, Ky. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary Gabbard Turner. She was the widow of Clyde Frost and was a homemaker. Mrs. Frost is survived by one grandson: Mr. Joseph Wesley Frost of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and one sister, Mrs. Lillian Fairchild, of Booneville, Ky. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clyde, and one son Joseph Frost. Funeral services for Mrs. Frost were held Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 1: 00 p.m. with visitation starting at 12 noon at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home. Officiating the services was the Rev. Frost, Robert "Bob"

Robert "Bob" Frost, 75, of Barbourville, KY and formerly of Booneville, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023, at his home. Born at Peewee Valley, KY, he was a son of the late Hollie Ray Frost and Lena Frances Yunt Frost. In addition, he was preceded in death by brothers Bill and infant Jerry Frost, and sisters Joyce and Retha Frost. Bob had been an educator, teaching in the public schools before going to the Lee Adjustment Center at Beattyville as a corrections officer and teacher. At Booneville he had been a past president of the Gideons and served in numerous offices at the Booneville United Methodist Church. After moving to Barbourville six years ago, he and Donna had been faithful members at Corbin Trinity Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Donna G. Frost; sons Jeffrey Donald Frost (Robin) and Gregory Ray Frost (Sierra); granddaughters Karra Merida (Kevin), Lauren Walters (Coty), and Isabella Grace Frost; five great grandchildren Kenleigh, Kassidy, and Kole Merida, and Maggie and Lilly Walters; brother Jim Frost (Judy); and many nieces and nephews. Bob's visitation will begin at 12 noon Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Corbin Trinity Methodist Church. His funeral service will follow there at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Jamie Brunk and Rev. Frost, Robert Seale

Robert Seale Frost Age 89, of Fairfield passed peacefully on January 10, 2017. He was born on January 3, 1928 in Owsley County, KY to Fred and Bertha Frost. Bob was a life-long resident of Fairfield; a devoted family man and prominent business owner. Bob retired from the B&O Railroad and was the owner/operator of Modern Sales Furniture and Jani-trol Cleaning Service. He was a member of the Hugh Bates Masonic Lodge #686 and Scottish Rite, Valley of Cincinnati. Preceded in death by his parents Fred Frost and Bertha Smith, and son Larry Frost. Bob married the love of his life, Lorena Hornsby Frost, on September 3, 1955. He is survived by his wife of 66 years; brother, Robert Lee Frost; daughter, Judy Gadd (Robert); son, John R. Frost; grandchildren, Robert Frost (Bree), Carrie Pierce (Rich), Tricia Harris (Mike Baynes), Nathan Frost (Jennifer), Lucas Frost (Kristen); great grandchildren, Ryan Frost, Joshua Harris, Shelby Harris, Jordan Pierce, Benjamin Pierce, Morgan Frost and Gabriel Frost; and loving daughter-in-law, Linda Frost. Ronald "Ron" Frost age 78, of Germantown, OH, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, January 17, 2012. He was born in Owsley County, KY, on August 29, 1933, to the late, Floyd and Hagar (Eversole) Frost. Ronald retired from General Motors ~ Delco Moraine Division in 1989, after 30 years of service and was a member of Booneville Masonic Lodge #939, F. & A.M. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Shelton; and 2 brothers, Floyd, Jr. and Raymond Frost. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joyce (Fields) Frost; his daughter and son-in-law, Deborah & Jeffery Pate; 2 granddaughters, Kristen and Kailey Pate; a great-grandson, Landon Rudy; and his sister, Velma (John) Kadel, all of Germantown. Frost, Ruby Caudill

Ruby Frost, 77 passed away February 2, 2011 at the KY River Medical Center in Jackson following a long illness. She was born May 31, 1933 in Owsley County, KY, was the daughter of the late Albert Caudill and Sally Noble Hall and was the widow of Dale Frost. Ruby was a homemaker and was a member of the Baptist Church. Mrs. Frost is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Bonnie Wilson and husband Arnold, Mrs. Betty McVey and Mrs. Wanda Christine Haney, all of Booneville, KY. She leaves surviving one son, Mr. Clyde Frost of Booneville, KY. 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren survive. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Ruth Prather of Crownpointe, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dale Frost; three sons, Earl, Robert Wayne and Kenneth and three daughters; Linda, Anna Faye and Rosemary. Funeral services for Mrs. Frost was Sunday, February 6, 2011 at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Powlas officiating. Burial followed in the Griffith Cemetery. Frye, Bethel Peters

Mrs. Bethel Frye, 83, passed away September 7, 2016 at her residence in Campton, KY following a long illness. She was born August 1, 1933 in Owsley County, KY, was the daughter of the late Walker and Elizabeth Rowland Peters, was the widow of Lorin Frye, was retired from the Owsley County School system and was a member of the Baptist Church. Mrs. Frye is survived by one son: Mr. Pete Frye and wife Shirley of Campton, KY and several relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; Walker and Elizabeth Peters, her husband; Lorin Frye, four sisters: Wilma Jene, Lorene, Myrtle and Beulah and four brothers; Estill, Clifton, Lee and H. W. Funeral services for Mrs. Frye were held Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 1:00 PM with visitation on Friday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, all at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home. Frye, Lucian Henry

Lucian Henry Frye, age 85 of Peppertown, Indiana passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at his home. Born on October 31, 1929 in Cincinnati, Ohio he was the son of Hillery and Esther (Hudson){*daughter of Theophilus “Theo” and Martha Short Hudson} Frye. Lucian married Marjorie Alley on November 5, 1949. Lucian was a member of the Metamora Lodge #156 F&AM and New Point Christian Church. He was a retired over the road truck driver. Lucian had owned and operated his own truck. He will be missed by his wife, Marjorie; daughters, Melodie (Bill) Busch, Karen (Jerry) Ziegler, Vicki (Wayne) Brooks and Marilyn (Chuck) Shafer; sons, Randy (Debbie) Frye and David (Tamie) Frye; along with his grand children, Suzanne Miller, Steve Frye, Ryan, Michael & David Busch, Melanie Schiller, Jeremy Ziegler, Ryan & Patrick Vazquez, Jenifer Shafer, Lindsay Klene, Erin Shafer, Andrew Brooks, Christopher, Logan, Caleb & Lydia Frye; and 17 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Raymond Frye and three infant brothers Zeryl, Dale & Elwood Frye; plus one granddaughter, Carrie Busch and one great granddaughter. Booneville, KY – Ottis Elsworth Frye, 89, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at his residence. Ottis was born November 18, 1918 in Owsley County, KY, to the late Pete Mallard and Mattie Gentry Frye. He was a former factory employee in Dayton, OH, and a U. S. Army veteran, having served in WW II. Survivors include four nephews, Harold, Kenneth and Pete Frye and Donald Bruce Barker, and a host of relatives and friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ora Barker and Lotis Mason; and two brothers, Harlan and Lorin Frye. Funeral services, along with Military Rites by the Three Forks Post # 11296 VFW, were held Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Booneville Funeral Home, with Rev. J. Fugate, Wilson E. "Jay"

Wilson E. "Jay" Fugate, 72, husband of Lida Lutes Fugate, passed into eternity Tue, Oct. 31, 2006 at the Hospice Care Center at St. Joseph Hospital. Born in Booneville, KY, he was the eldest son of the late Wilson Fugate and Daisy Mainous. Jay was a loving husband and father of two. He was a retired Square D employee where he was affectionately known as "Popeye", an Army veteran having served in Korea, and a member of The Rock (La Roca) United Methodist Church. Survivors other than his wife are a son, Mark (Abby) Fugate of Georgetown, KY; a daughter, Janne Fugate and one granddaughter, Dharma Elizabeth of Shelby, NC; and three brothers, Bruce, Marce and Bob Fugate. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Fri at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. by Bro. Harold Dorsey and Bro. Aaron Mansfield. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Elizabeth Ann Fulton, 62, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2020 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky, on March 7, 1958, to the late Edward McIntosh and Helen Becknell [*per Ancestry daughter of Hubert & Nettie Lynch Becknell]. She was retired from Lee Adjustment Center and a member of Clark County Community Church. Survivors include two children, Teresa Warner, and Christopher Wayne Warner; two grandchildren, Madison Leann Christopher, and Lainey Marie Howard; great grandson, Brody William Couch; sister, Joan Wilson; several nieces and nephews.
