Booneville, KY – Louise LaFollette, 88, widow of Ray LaFollette of Georgetown, Kentucky, passed away Friday, March 31, 2006 at her daughter’s residence in Booneville, KY. Mrs. LaFollette was born August 16, 1917 in Scott County, Kentucky to the late William and Neva Johnson Moss. She was a homemaker and a member of the Georgetown Baptist Church in Georgetown, Kentucky. Survivors include a daughter, Linda (& Billy) Amis of Booneville, Kentucky; two sisters, Eula Mae Glass and Anna Belle Moss, both of Georgetown, Kentucky; a grandchild; three great grandchildren; three great, great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Visitation was held on Saturday, April 1, 2006, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Booneville Funeral Home in Booneville, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Monday, April 3, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at Johnson’s Funeral Home in Georgetown, Kentucky, with Rev. Kenneth D. Holden officiating. Visitation was held on Sunday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Johnson’s Funeral Home. Langley, Gladys Dooley

Richmond, KY – Gladys Dooley Langley, 85, of 208 Eric Drive in Richmond, KY passed away March 17, 2005 at the residence of her daughter. She was born January 21, 1920 to Bascom and Virginia Dooley. She was the widow of the late Joseph Langley. She was affiliated with the St. Marks Catholic Church of Richmond and longtime member of the St. Frances Catholic Church of Louisville. She was a retired General Electric employee. She leaves surviving two sons, David (Bonnie) Langley and John (Theresa) Langley, all of Louisville, KY. She also leaves surviving two daughters, Janice (Larry Stabb of Richmond, Kentucky) and Linda Forcier of California. She leaves surviving seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Four sisters also survive – Mary McIntyre, Hamilton, Ohio; Marie Phillips, Booneville, KY; Louise Abshear, Winchester, KY; Nancy Butler of French Village, Missouri. Also surviving is one brother, Phillip E. Dooley of Booneville, KY. Visitation was held from 2 pm to 6 pm Sunday evening at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home. Pallbearers were: Jeff Fronhlich, Larry Sabo, Jeff Dooley, D. G. Dean, Steven Oliver, Jimmy Dooley, Matthew Oliver and Brian Dooley. Honorary pallbearers were Darrell Dooley, Billy Ray Dooley, Bob Dooley, Elmer Frchlich, Emmett Pryor, Gary Dooley and Phillip Dooley. Funeral services were held on Monday, March 21, 2005 at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Booneville, Ky. with Father Michael Weglicki officiating. Burial followed in the McIntyre Cemetery. Law, Geneva Roberts

Booneville, KY – Geneva "Bug" Roberts Law, departed this life June 30, 2006 at Pebworth, Kentucky after a lengthy battle with cancer. Bug was born November 8, 1942, at Heidelburg, Kentucky to Roscoe and Louise Roberts. She was a retired nurse at the Glen Oaks Nursing Rehab Center in Chicago, Illinois. Bug is survived by two sons, Thomas Franklin Taylor and James Law, both of Chicago, Illinois; and a daughter, Heather Heathcott, also of Chicago. She is also survived by her mother, Louise Burns of Pebworth, Kentucky; two sisters, Lois Davis (Jack) of Dearborn, Michigan and Martha Mahoney (Dennie) of Howell Michigan; and a brother, Thomas Burns (Kathy) of Booneville, Kentucky. Bug is also survived by four grandchildren and a host of friends, co-workers and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Roscoe Roberts and a son, Wayne Law. Lewis, Delcie Marie

Booneville, KY – Delcie Marie Lewis, 54, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2008, at her residence in Lexington, KY. Delcie was born December 21, 1953, in Hamilton, Ohio, to the late Emmett Bryant and Emma Faye Caudill Lewis. She was a homemaker, enjoyed bingo, arts and crafts, and was a member of the Christ Center Church and American Legion Post # 313, both of Lexington, KY. Survivors include three sons, Carl (& Jenny) Pelfrey, of Paris, KY, Kenneth (& LaDonna) Pelfrey, and Christopher (& Kathleen) Pelfrey, both of Lexington, KY; two brothers, Delbert Lewis of Booneville, KY and Dewey Lewis of Campton, KY; two sisters, Janice Lewis of Dry Ridge, KY and Elizabeth Gabbard of Indiana; two grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ellis Pelfrey; and a brother, Arvis Joe Lewis. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 22, 2008, at 1:00 p.m., at the Booneville Funeral Home, with Rev. Joe Powlas officiating. Visitation held on Thursday, at the funeral home, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Lowery, Brenda

Richmond, KY – Brenda Lowery, 43, of Cedarwood Drive, died early Tuesday morning, May 4, 2004, at The Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. She was born in Owsley County on June 21, 1960. She was a customer service manager for Big Lots and a member of the Unity Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Tommy Lowery; her father, Willie Cole of Richmond; her mother, Martha Riley Campbell of Richmond; one son, Travis Lowery of Richmond; two daughters, Connie Ray and Martha Chapman, both of Richmond; one stepson, Tony Lowery of Richmond; three sisters, Della Tribble, Margaret Henderson and Tonya Estepp, all of Richmond; one half-sister, Ethel Cole of Ohio and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Combs, Parsons and Collins Funeral Home with Dr. Dennis Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery. Lynch, Sindy
Sindy Lynch, 89, of Connersville died Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, where she had been a patient since Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005. Under a physician’s care, her death was unexpected. She was born July 7, 1916, in Jackson County, Ky., one of 16 children of James and Julie Mullins McWhorter. In 1931, she was married to Willard Lynch of Owsley County, Ky., and they lived in Green Hall, Ky., until moving to Connersville for residence in 1941. Mr. Lynch died in January 1970. She was a member of Connersville Baptist Temple and had been a member of the Jolly 60’s Club. She enjoyed her family, especially family get-togethers, flowers, sitting on her front porch in the summertime and attending church when she was able. Survivors include her son, Wilburn “Babe” Lynch and wife, Betty, of Connersville; five grandchildren, Diane Selby, whom she raised and her husband, Mitch, Sharon Pollitt and husband, Joe, all of Connersville, Ronnie Lynch and wife, Mary, of Gettysburg, Ohio, Donnie Lynch and wife, Lori, and Melissa Adkins and husband, Charles, all of Connersville; 13 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; twin daughters who died at birth, Sharon Kay Lynch and Wanda Faye Lynch; a grandson, Lonnie Ray Lynch, who died Aug. 26, 1981; seven sisters and eight brothers. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home with Pastor Randall Collins officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery.
