Mr. Virgil Patrick 80, passed away January 6, 2012 at the KY River Medical Center in Jackson,
KY, following a long illness. He was born September 5, 1932 in Campton, KY, was a retired
welder. Mr. Patrick is survived by a brother, Mr. Russell Patrick of Campton, KY and a sister,
Mr. Rose Patrick of Florida. Graveside services for Mr. Patrick were held Saturday, January 7,
2012 at the Lerose Cemetery. The Searcy and Strong Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.

Patton, Dr. Henry Stewart Jr.
Booneville, KY – Dr. Henry Stewart Patton, Jr., 75, died Monday afternoon, February 4,
2008, at home in Booneville, KY. He was born in Ashland, KY, September 3, 1932. He
served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Ordained to the Ministry
in 1977, Henry (Hank as many knew him) was known for his work in South Central Kentucky with
the Children’s Bible Crusade. Hank was pastor of the Lerose Baptist Church, Lerose, KY, and
the Upper Buffalo Baptist Church in Ricetown, KY. He was the former pastor of Confluence
Baptist Church in Confluence, KY. Children were always welcomed and loved by Hank, whether
they were learning the most Bible verses during a week at Camp Brent Laneer or attending one
of the church Bible classes he set up throughout the state of Kentucky and surrounding states.
Dressed like a clown, he entertained many children in the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in
Lexington, KY. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rosteen Crum Patton; two daughters,
Lydia Greear (Asa) of St. Agustine, FL and Rowynna Dail of Norwalk, CT; two sons, Hank Patton
(Susan) of Berea, KY and Bart Patton (Julie) of Booneville, KY. He is also survived by seven
grandchildren, Thaddeus Greear, Frankfort, KY, Tony Dail, Lexington, KY, Jeremiah Greear,
Atlanta, GA, Timothy Dial, Amherst, MA, Jessica Stotler (Ryan) Campbellsville, KY, Becky
Patton, Berea, KY, and Emalee Patton, Booneville, KY. And three great grandchildren, Holton
and Alton Greear and Juliana Dail. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Children’s
Bible Crusade, Booneville, KY, in his honor. Graveside services were held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday,
at the Patton family Cemetery, Cannonsburg, KY with Rev. Asa Greear officiating. Visitation was
held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home in Booneville.

Pendergrass, Dorothy Fox
Booneville, KY - Dorothy Fox Pendergrass, 86, widow of Edwin Pendergrass, passed away on
Monday, February 7, 2005 suddenly. She was a homemaker and attended the New Hope
Baptist Church. She was born on May 16, 1918 to George and Ellen Brandenburg Fox. She
is survived by two sons, Willis (& Jo) Pendergrass and James (& Wilma) Pendergrass, both
of Booneville, KY and a daughter, Mae (& Bob) Hunt of Flint, MI; six grandchildren and
seven great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Wednesday

Pendergrass, Homer
Homer Pendergrass, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away at age 95 on May 15,
2010 at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield, Ohio. Homer was born on November 3, 1914 to Bowen and Nannie Metcalf
Pendergrass in White Oak near Booneville, Kentucky. He was one of sixteen children. During his youth, Homer
spent his time growing up on a farm until the death of his father when he joined the Civilian Conservation Corps
at a young age. His experience in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Idaho were always very special to him. His parents
and all of his brothers and sisters preceded him in death including his sister Arba Gray who lived to 106. Included
in his sisters and brothers were Roy, Mrytle, Wendel, Dale, Agnes, Gladys, and Estill. Also preceding him in death
is his beloved wife of almost 73 years, Edna Mosley. Homer and Edna married in Booneville, Kentucky on April 9, 1936.
They moved to Ohio and raised two sons in Fairfield while Homer worked for Opekasit, Hamilton Transit Company for
25 years and for Pease Everstraight Doors until he retired and Edna worked at Sears in Hamilton for 33 years. He is
survived by his two sons Ferris (Wilma) and Bob (Pat) all of Fairfield. His surviving grandchildren include Sandra
(Mike) Collins, Keith (Teresa) Pendergrass, Tammy (Kevin) O'Leary and Chad (Natalie) Pendergrass. Surviving
great-grandchildren include Aimee Collins, Chris Collins, Stefan Pendergrass, Logan Pendergrass, Allison O'Leary,
Carter Pendergrass and Grace Pendergrass. Also surviving are many beloved nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Homer was known for his natural musical talent, playing guitar, organ. piano ect. all by ear which he displayed at
family gatherings, His sense of humor was also well known as he use to tell amusing stories and jokes from his past
experiences and then laugh with us. His longevity can be attributed to his belief in not worrying and his daily long
walks which continued until February of this year. Homer was also a beloved member of the Laurel Avenue Church of
Christ. He was insistent on attending even though his health was failing up until February of this year. A special
thanks goes out to the home care givers who took such good care of Homer this past year and also to the nurses of Tri
County Extended Care Center for the lst few months and to the doctors and nurses at Mercy Hospital. Visitation will
be 10 a.m. until time of service (12 noon) Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4978 Winton

Pendergrass, Virgie M. Dean
Virgie M. Pendergrass, age 82, of Camden, Ohio, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great
great grandmother, died Friday, January 14, 2011, at the Vancrest Healthcare Center in Eaton, Ohio. She
was born on August 28, 1928, in Booneville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Bradley and Minnie (Barrett) Dean.
On October 31, 1946, Virgie married Estill Pendergrass. They later moved to Fairfield, Ohio to raise their children.
Virgie loved to cook and worked her entire life to serve others. She was employed at the Eaton Manor Restaurant;
Canteen Food Services at the Diebold Safe Company where she was manager of the cafeteria, and the Highland Dairy Bar
in Fairfield until her retirement at the age of 65. Virgie was a faithful member and servant of the Paducah Avenue
Baptist Church in Fairfield. She will be missed by many friends and relatives as one who was always thinking of
the needs of others. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Estill in 2005 and her
sister: Hilda Dean. Virgie is survived by her five children: Louise (James) Barnes, of Camden, Ohio; Estill
(Mary) Pendergrass, Jr., of Oxford, Ohio; Joan (Paul) Eversole of Eaton; Evelyn (Johnny) Shannon of Somerville,
Ohio, and Ricky Pendergrass of Hamilton; brother, Carl Dean of Kentucky; two half brothers and one half sister;
eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Nein Barnes Funeral Home, 249 N. Main
St., Camden, Ohio with Pastor Douglas Rose officiating. Interment will be held in Butler Memorial Park near

Pennington, Viola Christine (nee: Morris), 71, of Clearwater, FL, formerly of Lebanon, OH died
Wednesday February 3, 2010. Born September 8, 1938 in Owsley County, KY to Durward L. and Nova
(nee: Tincher) Morris, she was a 1957 graduate of Lebanon High School. A member of the Northside
Baptist Church, she owned and operated the Pennington Drapery and Upholstery shop in Lebanon before
retiring in 1994. Preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Walter C. Pennington and James
Frank Pennington, one brother, Wendell C. Morris, survivors include one son, Timothy (Amy Wachter-Pennington)
Pennington, one daughter, Gladys (John) Davis, three step sons, Greg Pennington, Bryan Pennington, and Ryan
Pennington, one step daughter, Jill Willets, and three grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Pennington, Rachel

Sextons Creek, KY – Ann Peters, 59, of HC 71, passed away at her residence on Thursday,
June 28, 2007 after a year’s illness. She was a homemaker and a member of the Clark
Baptist Church. Born on November 11, 1947 in Owsley Co., she was the daughter of the
late Steve and Nellie Thomas Marshall. She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Peters; a

Peters, Dale
Dale Peters, 82, of Midland, Michigan and life-long Connersville resident, died Monday morning,
October 11, 2010, at MidMichigan Medical Center, Midland, Michigan. Dale was born January 27, 1928
in Blake, Boone County, Kentucky (*Owsley County per 1930 Owsley County census, Magestrial District #
3, household 112/112, WE) to Laney and Mary Poe Peters. On November 15, 1952, he was married in
Brookville to the former Betty S. Sparks, who died September 15, 1988. Dale was employed at Ford
Electronics for 41 years and often spent evenings after work helping his friends with their carpentry
projects. He was a devoted husband, father and son. Dale was always eager to visit sick friends and
drive them to their appointments. He enjoyed gardening and was most proud of the tomatoes he grew.
Dale could often be seen about Connersville in his 1984 El Camino. Dale is survived by his daughter:
Sabrina Sue DeHaven and her husband, Daniel of Midland, Michigan; 3 grandchildren: Chris Smithson of
Long Beach, California, Jamie Majeske, and Kelly Kin, both of Midland, Michigan; 2 great-grandchildren:
Jacob Kin and Michael Majeske; 3 sister-in-laws: Beatrice Peters, of Connersville, Frieda Peters, of
Harrison, Ohio, and Jewel Peters, of Covington, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews. In addition to
his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son Gary W. Peters, who died December 23, 2000; an
infant sister, Pearl; and five brothers: Charles, Clarence, Verlon, Virgil, and Elmo Peters. Funeral

Eula (Peters) Peters Age 76 of Lebanon passed peacefully Thursday, August 24, 2006
at Middletown Regional Hospital. Born Sept. 29, 1929 in Booneville, Kentucky,
she was the daughter of Sam and Eva (Smith) Peters and was a loving and devoted
wife and mother. Eula had worked for Deerfield Connector in assembly as a press
operator and also at the Young's Laundry in Lebanon. Preceded in death by her parents,
one son, Larry Peters in 1975 and one brother, Henry Peters, she is survived by her
dear husband, Lester Peters; one son, Rogar (Julie) Peters and one daughter, Margaret
(Ronald) Swartwood all of Lebanon; one brother, Sam Peters, Jr. and one sister, Margie

Lee B. Peters, 79, of Sextons Creek was born March 21, 1927 in Clay County and
departed this life Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Medical
Center in Somerset. He was the son of the late Gilbert and Nellie (Banks) Peters.
Lee is survived by his loving wife Gladys Peters of Sextons Creek; by four sons,
Lonzo Peters, Denver Lee Peters and Donnie Peters all of Sextons Creek and Earl
Peters of Booneville; by eight daughters, Mildred Marshall, Iva Sue Hensley,
both of Booneville, Mary Madden, Georgia Madden, Sarah Madden, Donna Sue Montgomery
all of Tyner, Jean Marshall of McKee and Anna Asher of Annville. He was blessed with
twenty-four grandchildren, Bridgett and Leann Peters, Brittany and Trevor Montgomery,
Sherry and Brian Marshall, Amy Combs, Amanda Ayers, Ashley Madden, Jason Madden,
Heather Smith, Michelle F. Mills, Kim Wagers, Nicki Baldwin, Eric Marshall,

Peters, Lester age 85 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Monday evening, August 17, 2009
at the Avalon Assisted Living in Springboro, Ohio with his family by his side. Born June
7, 1924 in Blake, Kentucky, he was the son of Oscar and Daisy (Ball) Peters and was an
aerospace worker at Aeronca in Middletown, Ohio. Lester was a proud U.S. Army Veteran of
World War II and a Purple Heart recipient. Lester was a member of the Disabled American
Veterans, a lifetime member of V.F. W. #6069 and the Heritage Baptist Church. Lester will
always be remembered as a loving, kind and generous man and a hard worker. Preceded in
death by his parents; dear wife, Eula Peters in 2006; son - Larry Peters in 1975; son-in-law

Lucille Peters was born January 19, 1946 in Owsley County and departed this life Monday,
June 29, 2009 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, being 63 years of age. She was the
daughter of the late Morton & Lou Bertha (Moore) Sizemore. Lucille is survived by three
sons- Doug Peters of Annville, Randy Peters & Wade Peters both of Gray Hawk. She is also
survived by the following brothers and sisters- O.C. Sizemore of Beattyville, Hugh Sizemore,
Morton Sizemore Jr., Gracie Turner, Nellie Mae Hobbs, Frances Ratliff, & Pauline Hurst all
of Booneville. Lucille was blessed with four grandchildren. In addition to her parents,
Lucille was also preceded in death by two sisters- Joyce Wilder & Shirley Neal and by three

Ruford B. “Pete” Peters, age 91 of Connersville, passed away on Monday August 9, 2010 at Heritage
House of Connersville. Born on February 14, 1919 in Booneville, Kentucky, he is the son of the
late Charles and Ellen Rowland Peters. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II from 1943 to 1946.
While in the army he received three Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. He was a member of the FOP,
AMVETS, American Legion, Eagles and 40 et 8. He retired from the Connersville Police Department in
1972 after 21 years of service and retired from the Fayette County School Corporation in 1988 where
he worked at Alquina School as the Head Custodian. He is survived by his wife, Mildred L. Kanorr
Peters who he married on July 19, 1955 in Lawrenceburg, IN; a daughter and son in law, Pamela and
Mark Logan of Connersville; two sons and daughters in law, Gregory and Gwen Peters and Michael and
Peggy Peters all of Connersville; five grandchildren, Doug Bell, Bryan Bell and his wife Annette,
Travis Peters and his wife Patricia, Shawna Peters, and Joni Peters; two great grandchildren, Alivia
Kunze and Aaron Bell; and a nephew, Don and his wife Dodo Peters. In addition to his parents, he is

Mrs. Wilma Jean Peters, 75, passed away March 8, 2011 at the Owsley County Health Care Center following a
battle with cancer. She was born March 28, 1935 in Owsley County, KY, was the daughter of the late Walker
and Elizabeth Rowland Peters, was a homemaker and was a member of the Baptist church. Wilma is survived by
one brother, Mr. Lee Peters of Booneville, KY; two sisters, Mrs. Bethel Frye of Campton, KY and Mrs. Lorene

Luther Pierson Jr. was born November 16, 1931 in Owsley County and departed this
life Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at his residence, being 76 years of age. He was the

Robert Ray Pierson, 88, Lexington, husband of Margery Schwant Pierson, died Sat, March 19,

served as a 2nd Lieutenant during WW II in the Army Air Corp as a celestial navigator. He
attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida, the University of Tennessee and the
University of Kentucky. He was president of Pierson Trapp Co., and along with his partner,
David M. Trapp, developed Gardenside and Sky Crest subdivisions. He was a member of First
Presbyterian Church, Keeneland Club, the Lexington Club, Idle Hour Country Club and a former
member of the Iroquois Hunt Club and the Windermere Island Club, Eleuthera, Bahamas. Besides
his wife of 63 years, he is survived by his sister, Mildred P. Herman, Lexington; nephews,

Booneville, KY – Sara “Tunie” Madden Pierson, 74, departed this life Thursday morning,
March 26, 2009, at her home. She was born on May 27, 1934, in Jackson County, Kentucky.
She was the daughter of the late Luther Clinton and Sophia Fields Madden. She was a member
of the New Hope Baptist Church and was a former employee of the Owsley County Health Care
Center. She was an avid fan of the Owsley County High School Basketball “The Owls” Program
and the University of Kentucky Wildcats. She greatly enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardens.
She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Eugene Pierson; a daughter, Margaret Helen Morris; a
grandchild, Mary Ann Ratliff; two sisters, Bobby Rybolt and Rosa Alice Webb; and two great
grandchildren. Tunie is survived by three sons, Bradley Pierson and Eddie Pierson, both of

Virginia Bell Pierson, age 84 of Liberty Township, OH passed away at Cottingham Retirement Community

Davis Price, age 92, husband of Pearl Caudill Price, passed away on January 13th, 1010, in Lexington, KY.
He was born February 27, 1917, at Vincent, KY, to Charlie and Ethel Combs Price. He was a long time member
of the Warrens Chapel United Methodist Church. Dave was a member of the New Hope Masonic Lodge, and served
on the board of the Middle Kentucky Area Development Council. He was a highly decorated World War II Veteran
serving as a filed lineman with the 9th Infantry Signal Corps Division. In addition to his wife of 63 years,
he is survived by one son; Earl C. Price and Joyce, of Durham, North Carolina. Three daughters: Brenda Gayle
Sebastian and Roscoe, of Lexington, Kentucky; Catherine Renee Andis and David, of Somerset, KY; Doris Ann
Hoskins and Gerald, of Booneville, KY: Two grandchildren; April Dawn Andis of Knoxville, TN, Brian Keith
Hoskins and Stacey of Georgetown, KY, and one great-grandaughter, Kylie Grace Hoskins. One half brother,

On Jan. 13, 2010, Davis Price was carried in the arms of angels to be with our Lord in Heaven. Today he is
walking on streets of gold with his brothers who went before him. Dave is telling them a funny story and their
laughter is bittersweet. They will reminisce of times together, discussing the best time to plant, cut and
house their tobacco. If there are jobs in Heaven, daddy would be plowing the spring gardens and when the
winter snow came, he would be clearing the streets. We can see him on a tractor doing what he loved to do

Price, Dorsie
Vincent, KY – Mr. Dorsie Price, 87, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2007, at
the Lee County Care & Rehabilitation Center in Beattyville, KY, after a long fight
with Alzheimer’s Disease and cancer. He was born in Vincent, KY on December 20, 1920,
to the late Charlie and Ethel Combs Price. Dorsie attended the Needmore School at Vincent,
where he walked the one mile to school each day and came early to tend the fires. He
enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 21, where he was in the 83rd Reconnaissance
Troop Infantry Division. A veteran of World War II, he earned the European African Middle
Eastern Theater Ribbon with four Bronze Service Stars, American Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct
Medal and World War II Victory Medal. After the war was over, Dorsie returned home to
Vincent to marry the love of his life, Georgia Mavis Bowling. They recently celebrated
their 61st Wedding Anniversary. Dorsie was a farmer who loved the land and taught his
five children to value home, family and God. Hard work and honesty were his way. He was
a loving husband and a devoted father. Dorsie served on the Owsley County Farm Bureau
Board of Directors for 42 years, and on the Owsley County Conservation District Board of
Supervisors for 32 years. He was a member of the Warrens Chapel United Methodist Church.
Dorsie is survived by his wife, Georgia Mavis Price of Vincent, KY; two sons, Larry Dewayne
& Judy Price of Franklin, Ohio and Howard & Sandra Price of Vincent, Kentucky; three daughters,
Dianna Gayle & Gary Mays of Vincent, Kentucky, Pauletta Jo & Larry Teater of Lancaster,
Kentucky and Judith Jeanenne & Jack Amis, also of Vincent, Kentucky. He is survived by eight
grandchildren, Donald & Lynelle Price, David Price, Donna Jo & Harold Creech, Tamela & Jeff
West, Kimberly & Mose Hill, Jason & Sara Beth Mays, Byron & Kim Teater and Jina & Dustin
Estridge. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, Jacob, Justin and Dalton Price,
Madison, Corey and Shelby Creech, Matthew and Sarah West and Abby and Karli Hill; two brothers,
Davis & Pearl Price, Vincent, KY and Harold Price of Booneville, KY; two sisters, Nellie Marie
Tincher of Tyner, KY and Wanda & Kenneth Stewart of Booneville, KY; two sisters-in law, Wilma
Jean Price of Booneville, KY and Retha Price of Franklin, OH; and a special friend, Mr. Denny
Todd. Dorsie is also survived by a host of special nieces, nephews, family and friends. Dorsie
was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Ethel Price; his beloved step-mother, Dorcas
Young Price; three brothers, Edward Price, Vincent Price and Herman Price; two sisters, Edith

Vincent, KY – Jessie James Price, 60, passed away at his residence on April 6, 2009 from
cancer. He was a member of the White Harvest Holiness Church and was disabled. He was born
on February 20, 1949 to the late Jesse Callahan and Martha Price Callahan in Clay Co., KY. He
is survived by two daughters, Martha Marie (& Steve) Rose and Jessica Denise (& Paul) Kestner,
both of Clay Co., KY. Also surviving are four sisters, Naomi Ramsey and Evelyn Begley, both of
Vincent, KY, Freda Yarber, Beattyville, KY and Marie Humphery of Ohio; five brothers, Jerry

Lisa Gayle Price, formery of Owsley County, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2005, at
her residence. She was born on December 23, 1970, in Rushville, Indiana, to Emma
Brandenburg Price of Greenup, Kentucky and the late Wilton Price. She was employed by
the Ashland Independent School System, teaching art for 10 years at the Crabbe and
Oakview Elementary Schools and attended the Assembly of God Church. Along with her
mother, she is survived by two brothers, Rayburn Murphy of Greenup, Kentucky and Danny
Murphy of Baltimore, MD; three sisters, Janet Murphy of Delvinta, Kentucky, Christine
Callahan of Beattyville, Kentucky and Wanda Oliver of Vincent, Kentucky; several
nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services will be on

Booneville, KY – Paul Ray Price, 63, husband of Kyong Price, passed away Monday, January 19,
2009 at the Miami Valley Hospital of Dayton, OH. Paul was born in Oneida, KY, on July 25, 1945,
to the late Vincent and Wilma Jean Hamilton Price. He was a security guard and a U. S. Army Veteran.
Along with his wife of 41 years, he is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Larson of Ft. Walton, FL and
Angela Price of West Chester, OH; four granddaughters, Megan, Sasha, Tiffany and Malia; two brothers,
Bobby (& Kathy) Price and Tony (& Connie) Price, both of Booneville, KY; and a host of friends and

Booneville, KY – Wilma Jean Hamilton Price, 79, widow of Vincent Price, passed away Tuesday,
February 26, 2008, at the Owsley County Health Care Center in Booneville, Kentucky, after a
long illness. Wilma was born in Owsley County, Kentucky on September 10, 1928, to the late
Andy and Sarah Jane Botner Hamilton. She was a former homemaker, a member of the New Hope
Baptist Church and the New Hope Eastern Star, Susan Chapter # 106. Survivors include three
sons, Bobby (& Kathy) Price and Tony (& Connie) Price, both of Booneville, Kentucky, and Paul
Ray (& Kyong) Price of Dayton, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a host
of friends and relatives. Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death
by a sister, Betty Mason. Funeral services were conducted Friday, February 29, 2008, at 2:00
p.m., at the New Hope Baptist Church, with Rev. David Metcalf and Rev. John Mason officiating.
Visitation was held, along with Eastern Star Services on Thursday evening at the funeral home
from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Burial in the Vincent Price Cemetery, Travellers Rest, Kentucky, with

Alma Jean (nee Combs) Pritchett, beloved wife of the late William Pritchett, Jr. Loving mother of
Debbie (Jeff) Lueders. Dear sister of Warren Vernon Combs of Woodburn, OR and the late Alene Ritter
of Rossville, GA. Alma worked many years as the branch coordinator of the Kissell Co and retired from
American Mortgage after 40 yrs in the mortgage banking field. She was also a longtime member of the
Bridgetown Church of Christ. Wednesday, Sept 1, 2010. Age 82yrs. Visitation Sunday from 4-6pm at the
Neidhard-Minges Funeral Home 3155 Harrison Ave. (Westwood). Funeral services 10am Monday at the

Puckett, Thelma Garrett
Thelma Garrett Puckett, 88, formerly of Hamilton, OH went to be with the Lord on November 2,
2008. She was the wife of the late Claude Puckett. Born in Booneville, KY, she was the daughter
of the late Marcus Garrett and the late Minerva Bonds. She resided in Hamilton, OH, most recently
residing in Rhode Island. She was a previous member of Immanuel Baptist Church, and member of
First Baptist Church of America, Providence, RI. She leaves two daughters, Donna Puckett of
Woonsocket, RI, Peggy Eyler of Indianapolis, IN; brother, Fayette Garrett of Hamilton, OH;
granddaughter, Jennifer DeMars of St. Augustine, FL; grandson, Colby Eyler of Indianapolis, IN;
great-Grandchild, Bryan DeMars of St. Augustine, FL. A committal service will be held November 8,

PUGH (Brandenburg), Judy Fern age 59, of Dayton, passed away Monday, July 4, 2011 after a long
battle with cancer. She was born May 15, 1952 in Oneida, KY. Judy worked at Gem City and later
retired from Navistar. She was a member of the VFW Post 9936, American Legion Post 619 and a
life member of the Amvets #24. Judy is survived by her husband, Andrew "Vince" Pugh; mother,
Allene (Thorpe) Brandenburg; father, Paul Brandenburg, Sr.; brother, Paul Brandenburg, Jr.;
sister, Tina Loney; brother-in-law, Chance Loney; niece, Madison; two nephews, Joseph and
