Booneville, KY - John "Jack" Rabenstein, age 74, husband of Doris (Hearld) Rabenstein, passed away Monday, September 19, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, Fayette County, KY. Jack was born in Clarksville, OH on June 7, 1937, a son of the late Naomi (Reis) and Chester Rabenstein. He worked and retired in Harrison, Ohio before returning to Booneville. He was the owner of Jack's Service Center and a veteran of the U.S. Army. RADER, BETTY WANE GIBSON

Betty Wane Rader, 73, wife of Shirley Clinton Rader for 53 years, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at the University Of Kentucky Medical Center. Mrs. Rader was born on April 12, 1940 in Owsley County, Kentucky to the late Sam and Bessie Gibson. She was a member of the Women's Republican Committee for many years, a longtime employee of Sylvania and a member of Franklin Avenue Church of the Living God. Mr. and Mrs. Rader spent many years serving as foster parents for children of Clark County. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her 3 children, John (Melissa) Rader, Jamie Rader and Ricky Rader; grandchildren, Dennis Wayne Haggard, Jr. and Jessica Paige Moore; great grandson, Wyatt Lee Hall; 3 sisters, Lena (Robert) Durbin of Richmond, KY, Lula Day of Franklin, OH, Opal Moore of Dayton, OH; 1 brother, Sammy Gibson, Jr. of Oshkosh, Wisconsin and several nieces and nephews. RADER, MARGARET NAOMI PHILLIPS

Margaret Naomi Rader age 65 of Connersville, reached the top of her mountain on February 28, 2015, after a long battle with Myasthenia Gravis at University Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born November 29, 1949 in Owsley County, KY, the daughter of the late Arco Phillips and Martha Holland Phillips. Margaret was a homemaker and was known as a hard worker. She had worked for several years cleaning houses and had been the owner and operator of the Hometown Restaurant for over 10 years. Later she worked at Billy Bob's Tobacco until her health no longer permitted her to work. She is survived by her husband Darvel Rader to whom she was married April 16, 1975 in Dayton, OH. She is also survived by daughters Shannon Shields and her husband Curtis Toney of Connersville; Marjorie Smith and her husband Roger of Mt Vernon, KY and a son Darvel Lee Rader of Mt. Vernon, KY. She is survived by brothers Cotton Phillips and wife Kay of Liberty; Don Phillips and wife Jean of Miamisburg, OH; Ernest Phillips of Brookville as well as 3 grandchildren James Toney, Martha Toney and Shawnetha Watson. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a daughter Angel Gail, a son Joie Hittle Jr., brothers Steve Holland and Johnny Phillips, and sisters Luly Irene Glover, Helen Ferman, Velma Blevins and Myrtle Kiskaden, and a grandson Shaynen Dale Smith. Booneville, KY - Charles Raisor, age 68, husband of Frankie (Robertson) Raisor, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015 at his home in Mistletoe, KY. Charles was born August 27, 1947 in Madison, IN, a son to the late Clarence and Helena Raisor. He was a mechanist, working for Bendix in Frankfort, KY for over 31 years. He was a member of the Owsley County Sportsman’s Club, a member of the Monterey Baptist Church in Owenton, KY, and in his spare time enjoyed fishing. Charles was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam from January 20, 1969 to January 19, 1970 as a Artillery Crewman with the 2nd Battalion, 35th Artillery. Booneville, KY – John R. Ramsey, 73, of Foster, KY passed away on April 28, 2009, at the St. Lukes Hospital East in Fort Thomas, KY after a long illness. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a Mason with the Masonic Lodge # 482, Farmersville. Mr. Ramsey was a Security Officer for McCalls Printing and Black River Mines. He was born on June 12, 1935 in Owsley County, KY to Park Ramsey & Sarah Emma Barrett Ramsey and the widower of Dottie Johnson Ramsey. He is survived by his mother, Sarah Emma Bishop of Booneville; a brother, James Ramsey, a sister, Lucille Skaggs; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Albert Ramsey and a sister, Dorothy Jackson. RARRIECK, MAXINE BECKNELL

Maxine Becknell Rarrieck was born May 2, 1947 in Clay County and departed this life Sunday, March 29, 2009 at her residence in Hamersville, Ohio, being 61 years of age. She was the daughter of the late James Earl “E.C.” Becknell and Minnie Baker Becknell. Maxine is survived by her husband Bill Rarrieck of Hamersville, Ohio; by two children- James Pierson of Tyner and Mary Pierson Moore of Norwood, Ohio and by one sister- Joyce Turner of Norwood, Ohio. She was blessed with three grandchildren- Ian Pierson of Tyner, Matthew Moore and Madison Moore both of Norwood, Ohio. In addition to her parents, Maxine was also preceded in death by a sister- Marlene Lee. Maxine was a member of the Withemsville Church of Christ. Lillie Mae (Leach) Ratliff, 72, of Madison Avenue, Richmond, the widow of Carl, passed away Monday, August 23, 2010, at her home. She was born in Morgan County, Kentucky on September 10, 1937, to Boyd Monroe Leach and Dora Mae (Ratliff) Leach, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a homemaker, a member of the Walnut Grove Baptist Church and also attended the Gloryland Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Diana Pence (Billy) of Richmond; five sons, Danny (Sharon) Ratliff of Berea, Hershel (Linda) Ratliff of Owsley County, Billy (Robyn) Ratliff of Rockcastle County, James (Sandy) Ratliff of Berea, and Russell (Michelle) Ratliff of Rockcastle County; three brothers, Willie White Leach of Richmond, Asa Leach of Salt Lick, and James Leach of Mt. Sterling; 18 grandchildren and 13, great grandchildren. Mr. Miles Nelson Ratliff, Jr. passed away January 24, 2014 at the U. K. Medical center in Lexington, KY following a long illness. He was born June 24, 1968 in Richmond, KY, was the son of the late Miles Ratliff, Sr. & Anna Irene Bowles, was the husband of Crystal Little Ratliff, was disabled, was a certified fire fighter and was a member of the First Church of God. Nelson is survived by his wife: Mrs. Crystal Ratliff, two daughters; Ms. Rachael Ratliff & Ms. Mary Ratliff & one son; Mr. Christopher Ratliff all of Beattyville, KY, one brother; Mr. John Ratliff & wife Tracy of Tyner, Ky & one sister; Mrs. Lori Cantrell of Kansas City, Missouri. Also surviving is a special cousin; Dion Ratliff & several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Ratliff were held Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 2:00 PM with visitation starting at 11:00 AM at the Searcy & Strong Funeral Home, officiating the services was the Rev. Garrett Thomas along with the volunteer fire fighters of Lee & Owsley Counties. The burial followed in the Ratliff Cemetery on Sturgeon Creek in Owsley County. Mr. Miles Ratliff Sr., 73, passed away November 2, 2011 at the Owsley County Health Care Center following a brief illness. He was born June 18, 1938 in Wolfe County, KY, was the son of the late John Miles and Rosie Watkins Ratliff, was the husband of Joyce Pierson Ratliff, was a retired farmer and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. Mr. Ratliff is survived by his wife: Mrs. Joyce Ratliff of Booneville, KY: two sons, Mr. Miles Jr. Ratliff and wife Crystal of Booneville, KY; Mr. John Ratliff and wife Tracy of Beattyville, KY; One stepson: Mr. John II Wethington and wife Tina of Booneville, KY: one daughter; Mrs. Deloria Cantrell of Sun Valley, Missouri. Four granddaughters survive: Alice, Rachel, Mary and Samatha Ratliff: two step-granddaughters; Keyada and Kaylee Wethington and two grandsons: Dustin and Christopher Ratliff. Also surviving are three brothers: Mr. Johnny Ratliff and wife Phyllis of Booneville, KY; Mr. Sonny Ratliff and wife Francis of Booneville, KY and Mr. Donnie Ratliff of Booneville, KY. Sisters Mrs. Ann Neeley and husband Bobby, Mrs. Lisa Metcalf and husband Edd and Mrs. Betty Sizemore and husband Jr. all of Booneville, KY. Also there are several nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Johnny Miles and Rosie Ratliff. RAYBURN, CARLENE KAY SPURLOCK

Carlene Kay Spurlock Rayburn, 53, of Laurel, went home to be with the Lord Sunday afternoon, May 26, 2013, peacefully at her home. One of six children, she was born December 10, 1959 in Connersville, the daughter of Carl and Henrietta Saylor (*daughter of Jess & Oma Sizemore Saylor) Spurlock; she attended Laurel schools and ultimately Cincinnati State University, where she specialized in business. For the past five years, she was serving as clerk treasurer for Laurel; previously, she had been employed by Libbey-Owens in Shelbyville. In her leisure, she enjoyed spending time with her family and children, especially her grandchildren, and making flower arrangements. Her life was exemplified in her service to others. Survivors include four children, James Rayburn of Birmingham, Alabama, Laura Begley and her husband Shawn, Mary Strong and her husband Joseph and Joseph Rayburn and his wife Cassandra, all of Laurel, eight grandchildren, Jena Meyers, Julia Rayburn, Landen and Skylar Begley, Lailynn, Brennon and Gabriel Rayburn and Joseph Strong, two sisters, Melinda Ault of Connersville and Lawanda Spurlock of Laurel, two brothers, Carl Spurlock and his wife Tracey of Tennessee and J. D. Saylor and his wife Diane of Texas, and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gary Callihan. Thelma Mays Reams, 99, was born October 28, 1914 at Paint Lick, Kentucky. She passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Baptist Health – Richmond. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Harrison Mays and Flora Estridge Mays of Sunland, CA; three brothers, Walter Virgil Mays, Sunland, CA, William Harrison Mays Jr., of Santa Barbara, CA, and Ralph Boaz Mays, Richmond, KY; one sister, Helen Kathleen Windsor of Richmond, KY; two nephews, Hugh David Mays, O’Fallon, MO, and Michael Mays of Nicholasville, KY. Survivors include one nephew, Paul Mays of Richmond; five nieces, Carol Moore of Richmond, Janice Windsor formerly of Richmond, Helen Humble of Murfreesboro, TN, Pamela Mays of Santa Barbara, CA, and Theresa M. Lawman of Georgetown, TN; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. Thelma graduated from Paint Lick High School, attended Cumberland and Eastern Kentucky Colleges, and taught school in Owsley County. She was later employed by the Madison County School Superintendent at Madison Central High in Richmond. She was married to Earl Reams in 1940 and moved to Glendale, CA, in 1942. They were both employed by Lockheed Martin Aircraft Corp for many years. Earl preceded her in death on April 20, 1987 and Thelma remained in California until 1995, when she returned to Richmond. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and of the Bethany Sunday school class. Manchester, KY – Deborah Kay Herald Reece, 34, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2007, from injuries sustained in a car accident in Clay County, KY. She was born July 3, 1972, in Wolfe County, KY, to Sharon Mullins of Manchester, KY and Ronnie Herald of Beattyville, KY. She was a former nurse’s aide for the Stanton Nursing Home, a homemaker and a member of the Beattyville Christian Church. Along with her parents, she is survived by her fiancée, Shawn Gibson of Manchester, KY; two sons, Austin Effort Reece and Ethan Darrell Wilder both of Beattyville, KY; three daughters, Christin Kaylee Reece and Gabriel Faith Reece, both of Beattyville, KY and Madison Patience Jean Gibson of Manchester, KY. Also surviving are her two brothers, Ronnie Paul Herald of Beattyville, KY and Jeremiah Corbit Freeman of Manchester, KY; four sisters, Angela Dawn Murrell of Booneville, KY, Melissa Rose Riley and Renita Renee Herald both of Beattyville, KY, and Jessica Hope Freeman of Manchester, KY; her paternal grandmother, Lillian Herald of Beattyville, KY; and a host of other relatives and friends. Genevieve was born in Owsley County, KY on April 30, 1934, a daughter of the late Charlie and Edna Mae (Gabbard) McIntosh. She was a home maker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Booneville. Virginia Louise (Tincher) Reece; age 75, of Franklin, OH; died Tuesday January 24, 2012 at her residence. She was greatly loved and will be terribly missed. Calvin was born in Booneville, KY, on May 24, 1938, to the late Virgil and Barbara Couch Reed. He was a self employed farmer and logger, and a member of the Wilson Fork Pentecostal Church in Lerose, KY.. He is survived by two sons, Ricky and Jeffery Reed and a daughter, Hazel Reed, all of Booneville, KY; 10 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Mrs. Christine Reed, 67, passed away May 9, 2011 at her residence in Hamilton, Ohio following a long illness. She was born November 19, 1943 in Owsley County, KY, was the daughter of the late Emery & Mary Taylor Hudson, was the wife of Herbert Reed and was a homemaker. Mrs. Reed is survived by her husband: Mr. Herbert Reed of Hamilton, Ohio, two daughters: Mrs. Pamela Wilson and husband David and Mrs. Vicky Reed all of Liberty Township, Ohio and two grandchildren: Sara Wilson and Miraih Reed both of Liberty Township, Ohio. Fred Reed age 82, formerly of Miamisburg, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014. He was born March 15, 1932 in Upper Buffalo-Owsley County, KY to the late James and Ida (Rice) Reed. Also preceding him in death is his wife of 56 years, Gracie M. Reed; son, Benny Reed and daughter, Deborah Frasier. Fred is survived by his sons, Ed Reed of Farmersville, Billy Reed of Miamisburg and Jamie (Lesley) Reed of Kettering; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Ollie Turner, Alice Fox, Aileen McIntosh; brother, Gene Reed; special son-in-law, Darrell Frasier; special niece, Donna Carpenter; dear friend, Pam Johnson and many other extended family and friends. Fred worked at General Motors for over 30 years and enjoyed spending his time coon hunting and picking the banjo. Marion "Groucho" Retherford 85, of Franklin died Friday June 6, 2014 at Southview Hospital. He was born in Owsley County, KY the son of Charlie and Gertrude (Taylor) Retherford. Marion worked as a self-employed roofer for over 30 years and for 40 years at Miami Paper Co. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and he was an avid golfer and member of Franklin Golf Club. Groucho was a member of Logan Ave. Church of Christ, Middletown and a frequent visitor at Crosspointe. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, a granddaughter and one great grandson. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Helen, 4 children, Larry (Fran) Retherford, Trish (Dave) Davis, Kimber (Casey) Hall and Shane Retherford, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He also leaves 3 brothers, Dallas, John and Danny Retherford, a step-mother, Susie Retherford, 2 step brothers, Charles and Wayne Robbins and a step sister, Betty, along with a host of relatives and friends. He was a veteran of the US Army and was employed for 35 years by G.M. Harrison Radiator as an auditor, retiring in 2001. William was a member of the Bonita Drive Church of Christ. Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother Raymond Retherford, and a sister Etta Belle Gray. She was born October 29, 1925 in Owsley County, KY, was the daughter of the late Felix and Neater Gabbard Herald, was the widow of Ralph Reynolds, was a homemaker and was a member of the Cow Creek Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Reynolds is survived by one daughter: Mrs. Dorothy S. Taylor & husband Ray of Clear Water, Florida, one grand-daughter: Mrs. Tonya Reffitt & husband Roger of Mt. Sterling, KY & one great-grandson: Mr. Tyler Reffitt & wife Stephanie of Mt. Sterling, KY. Also there are several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends surviving. She was preceded in death by her parents: Felix & Neater Herald, her husband; Ralph Reynolds, one sister: Edna Hobbs & three brothers: Andy, Albert & Carl Herald. Booneville, KY – Carl R. Reynolds, 86, passed away August 15, 2008, at the Eastern KY Veterans Center, Hazard, KY after a long illness. He was a member of the Cow Creek Presbyterian Church and was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Reynolds was a former state representative from 1956 to 1958. He was a retired merchant and Real Estate Developer, and was instrumental in securing the Booneville City Water & Sewer System, the new Owsley Co. courthouse and the Owsley County Health Care Center. He was born on October 13, 1921 to the late Willie C. and Mae Treadway Reynolds. He was married to his wife, Mary Lou Estepp Reynolds for 67 years, who survives him. Also surviving is his daughter, Donna (& Wayne) Marshall, granddaughter, Shana (& Michael) Turner of Booneville; a grandson, Travis Marshall of Richmond, KY; two granddaughters, Mika and Shania Turner of Booneville; a sister, Lana Egner of Maysville, KY; and a sister-in-law, JoAnn Estepp of Booneville. Booneville, KY – Don Edward Reynolds, 59, of Bear Run, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2007, at his residence. Don was born June 18, 1947 in Owsley County, to the late Carl and Bethel Fox Reynolds. He was a former machine operator for Monsanto Company in Addison, Ohio, and a U. S. Army Veteran, having served in the Vietnam War with the rank of Sergeant. His list of medals include the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Purple Heart and V Medal of Valor. Survivors include two sisters, Helen Riley of Walton, KY and Virginia of Union, Ky; and a host of friends and relatives. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Carol Reynolds Little and Emma Frances Reynolds, and a brother Carl Reynolds, Jr. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 13, 2007, at 1:30 p.m. at Booneville Funeral Home, with Rev. Mr. Glen Reynolds, 59, passed away March 9, 2011 at the KY River Medical Center in Jackson following a long illness. He was born July 2, 1951 in Oneida, KY, was the son of the late George and Ellen Murrell Reynolds, and was a carpenter. Glen is survived by one son: Mr. Michael Reynolds, and wife Sonya, one daughter, Ms. Chasity, and grandchildren: Michaela, Kallin, MacKenzie, Kendra, Austin, Ethan and Sarah all of Booneville, KY. Also surviving are three sisters: Mrs. Willetta Botner of Booneville, KY; Mrs. Georgia Bowman of Ohio and Mrs. Frances Caudill of Jackson, KY and one brothers: Mr. Earl Reynolds of Elmere, KY. Glen R. Reynolds Age 92 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016. He was born March 3, 1924 in Booneville, KY to the late Roy and Eva Reynolds. He is preceded in death by a sister Marie Moyers and brother Ralph Reynolds. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Irene, daughter Nancy (Jim) Thompson of Butler Twp., daughter Janie Reynolds and husband Bill Mellinger of Springboro, and son Roger of Vandalia, 4 grandchilden Michelle (Deron) Hayden, Heather Thompson, Justin (Erika) Reynolds and Jenna Reynolds, and very special friend Mark Miller and son Trevor, and numerous other family and friends. Glen was a WWII Naval Veteran and was a member of the Covington Church of the Brethren. He was also member of the Masonic Blue Lodge, and Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton. Walker Russell Reynolds, 97, peacefully left this life on Friday, January 1, 2016. The 9th of 10 children born on August 7, 1918 to the late Judge Walker and Mary Reynolds {* per Ancestry family tree: Walker Reynolds was the son of Gilbert & Matilda Mainous Reynolds, Matilda is listed as the daughter of Lazarus Lawson Mainous. Gilbert Reynolds was the son of Wesley & Nancy Moore Reynolds.} of Jackson County, KY. Russ was a graduate of Jackson County High School, Tyner, and received a B.S. in Agriculture from the University of Kentucky, class of 1940. His induction into the Kentucky Aviation Hall of Fame, November, 2015, was the apex of thirty years' service in the United States Air Force, which included combat in the Pacific Theater Operations, 1943-45, flying the B-24 Liberator with the "Red Raiders" of the 22nd Bomb Group. In 1948 he flew in the Berlin Airlift. He thence flew the C-82 transport with airborne training, Smyrna, Tennessee. His service included transport, C-54's, Hickam Field, Hawaii, 1952-55; transport of nuclear weapons, Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota; command of the 7th Logistics Support Squadron, Dyess AFB, Texas, 1955-1964; command of the 57th Air Rescue Squadron, Azores North Atlantic, 1964 (receiving the Joint Service Commendation Metal); Inspector General of Rescue and Recovery, Orlando AFB, Florida; and Deputy Commander for operations, Scott AFB, Illinois, directing air rescue missions in Vietnam, 1967-1970. In 1970, Colonel Reynolds retired and found a home with his bride of 27 years, Laurestine Syck of Pikeville, Kentucky, in Lexington. From 1970 to 1985 Russ served as Executive Director of the Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers ("I would rather fly in combat than lobby the Kentucky legislature."). His work included helping Speed Scientific School, University of Louisville for which he was named an honorary alumnus. Laurestine Reynolds preceded him in death in 2000. Russ is survived by sons Ken and Doug, and Doug's wife (Dr.) Lynn Reynolds. Walker "Russ" Reynolds was loved and respected by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. Anna Mae Rice, age 92, of Marion, Indiana, died Monday, October 12, 2015, at home surrounded by her family. Anna was born May 20, 1923 to the late Brown and Fannie (Wilson) Minter in Ricetown, Kentucky. She married Jimmie Rice on June 28, 1946. He survives. Anna attended Grace Community Church. She was also a member of the Arbor Trace Ladies Golf Club and the Elks Ladies League. Anna was the cafeteria supervisor for Allen Elementary School until she retired in 1986. Anna loved to play golf. She played for 38 years. She had 4 hole-in-ones; three were at Arbor Trace and one was in Florida. She also enjoyed bowling, crocheting, quilting, playing cards, and Yahtzee. Anna also loved to cook. She always wanted to make sure you ate. In addition to her husband, Jimmie, Anna is also survived by three daughters; Donna Enyeart, Marion, Indiana, Nancy (John) Chin, Marion, Indiana, and Patsy (Steve) Smithley, Marion, Indiana; sister; Lucy Rose DeBord, Booneville, Kentucky; brother; Tommie (Geraldine) Minter, Booneville, Kentucky; six grandchildren; Jennifer (Scott) DeBoy, Lisa (Kevin) Rittenhouse, Aaron Enyeart, Kyle (Andi) Chin, Todd (Diana Cole) Chin, and Parker (Careena) Smithley; 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Anna was preceded in death by her son, Gary Paul Rice, son-in-law, Bobby Enyeart, sisters Ella Faye Gibson and Virginia Ruth Blackburn, and brother John Wilson Minter. Anna was born in Hebron, KY on July 16, 1931, to the late Henry and Easter Edington Bowman. She was a homemaker and took joy in raising her family. Mr. Chester Dale Rice, age 55, passed away April 23rd, 2014 at the UK Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, KY following a battle with cancer. Gene Rice age 92 of Wilmington and formerly of Waynesville passed away Sat. June 21, 2014 at Clinton Memorial Hospital. Born Nov. 9, 1921 in Booneville, KY to the late Chester and Esther Rice. Gene was a WWII Army veteran, having served in the Philippines and southeast and received Purple Hearts and Bronze Stars for his service. In Feb. 2012, he received a certificate declaring him a Kentucky Colonel by Gov. Beshear of KY. He retired from GM in 1981 after 30 years of service. A member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle in Waynesville, he also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife Etta in 2003; one son Keith Rice; two grandchildren; his parents Chester and Esther Rice; and three brothers Robert, Elwood, and Carl Rice. Margie Ann Dean Rice 68 of Sand Gap KY, died Sunday at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond. Booneville, KY – Earl Riley, 64, of Caney Fork in Owsley County, passed away on January 28, 2008, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was the son of the late Oscar and Polly Johnson Riley. Survivors include two daughters, Polly and Ashley; a son, Earl Riley, Jr.; brothers, Melvin Riley of Indiana and David Riley of Ohio; sisters, Bernice Campbell of Booneville, KY, Hazel Riley Melton of GA, Mary Riley of Arizona and Martha Jane Ray of OH; and several other relatives and friends. Booneville, KY – James Riley, 48, of Owsley County, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at his residence. Along with his mother, he is survived by five brothers, Melvin, Earl, Freddie Ray, Lester and Donald Riley, all of Owsley County; seven sisters, Brenda Turner and Debbie Banks, both of Lee County, KY, Louise McIntosh and Ruby Roberts, both of Owsley County, Margaret Elem of Austin, Indiana, Lesa Creech of Lexington, Ky., Polly Burns of Indiana; a special friend, Helen Keith of Lee County, KY; and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a sister, Darla Kay Marshall, and his father. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 3, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. at the Booneville Funeral Home with the Rev. Mrs. Jeanette Riley, 53, passed away December 6, 2012 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, KY, following a long illness. She was born August 1, 1959 in Muncie, IN, was the daughter of the late Steve Riley and Ruby Murrell Gilblon, and was a member of the Baptist Church. Jeanette is survived by seven children: Mr. Paul Andrew Mendres of Africa (in U. S. Navy), Mr. Randy Riley of Beattyville, KY; Mrs. Dana Govilas of Norfolk, VA; Ms. Janie Riley and Mr. Douglas Riley both of FL; Mr. Jacob Smith & Mr. Jordan Smith both of Booneville, KY: and her mother: Mrs. Ruby Gilblon & Stepfather; Mr. Paul Gilblon of Beattyville, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Ripy and Mary Bell Ripy Shepard; a brother, C. B. Ripy, two sisters, Gladys Moreland and Evelyn Johnson. A native of Anderson County, he was born June 5, 1944. Mr. Ripy retired after 31 years of service with Allied Signal. He was a member of the Swallowfield Baptist Church and attended Bee Branch Church in Owsley County. He is survived by his wife, Carol Sue Allen Ripy; three sons, Bobby Ripy, Lawrenceburg, Christopher Ripy, Winchester, Curtis M. Ripy, Jr., Germany; three daughters, Carrie Wilhoite, Owenton, Ericka Roederer, Frankfort, Cheryl Kane, Winchester; three sisters, Mabel Smith, Ruby Smith, both of Lawrenceburg and Virginia Wells of Frankfort; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Alene Combs Ritter, 77, of Ringgold, Ga., died on Tuesday March 25, 2008 in a local hospital. She was a native of Booneville, Ky., but had lived in the North Georgia area for 44 years. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Barry Hughie of Ringgold; Kathy and Al Price of Soddy Daisy; son and daughter-in-law, William and Lisa Ritter of Rossville; grandchildren, Chris Bethune Tracy Brookshire, and Jacob Ritter; great-grandchildren, Cody, Josh, and Alex Bethune; Austin and Hunter Brookshire; sister, Jeannie Pritchett of Cincinnati, Ohio; brother, Warren Combs of Portland, Or. Bertha Roberts age 81 of Connersville went home to be with her Lord on Thursday July 7, 2011 at her residence. She was born December 7, 1929 in Owsley County, KY the daughter of Charlie Gabbard and Lennie Mainous Gabbard Fields. She came to Connersville in 1952. Bertha is a member of the Blooming Grove Family Worship Center and was a homemaker, Mother and Grandmother. She loved to sew, crochet, and work in the garden. She loved flowers and canning. In her younger years she was unable to finish her high school education due to family responsibilities but it was always important for her to receive her high school diploma. She was proud to receive her diploma in 1989. She is survived by her 4 daughters Sandra & Jeff Detmer, Osgood, IN; Patricia & Ricky Rowe, Connersville; Teresa & Tony Horning, Clinton Twp, MI; and Carol Roberts & companion David Wells, Connersville; 2 sons Charles E. & Juanita Roberts, Blooming Grove; and David A. Roberts & companion Jean Robinette, Connersville; 17 Grandchildren; 19 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. Mrs. Bertha Jean Roberts, 68, passed away January 31st, 2014 at the Owsley County Health Care Center following a long illness. She was born March 18th, 1945 in Lerose, KY, was the daughter of the late Taylor and Mary Caudill Gibson, was the widow of James Roberts, was a homemaker and was a member of the Spencer Fork Community Church. David Roberts age 81 of the Everton Community passed away Sunday July 13, 2008 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born August 11, 1926 in Owsley County, KY the son of the late Elihue and Lydia Reed Roberts. He has resided in the Connersville and Everton area since 1952. Gladene (nee: Byrd) Roberts, 64, of Lebanon, died Friday, April 29, 2011. Born December 17, 1946 in Oneida, KY to Clyde and Minnie (nee: Singleton) Byrd. Gladene retired from Avon Products in 2000 after 33 years. She was a member of the South Lebanon First Baptist Church. She cherished time spent with her grandsons. She was an avid gardener, having completed a Master Gardener program, and nature lover. She never met a stranger. She loved and was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Danny W. Roberts, son Danny Dwayne Roberts, three brothers: Clyde “Tony” Byrd, William Byrd, and Joseph Byrd. Josephine Roberts, age 68, of Metamora, Indiana died Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the Brookville Healthcare Center in Brookville, Indiana. Born October 6, 1942 in Owsley County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Riley & Betty (Hensley) Russell. On December 21, 1957, she was united in marriage to John Roberts Sr., and he survives. She lived most of her life in the Metamora community. Before her retirement, she had worked at the former Jay Garment Works in Brookville, and also at the Elsie Dreyer Nursing Home. She was a member of the Trinity Full Gospel Church in Metamora, Indiana. Besides John Sr., her husband of over 53 years, survivors include a daughter & son-in-law, Anita & James Wells of Metamora, Indiana; four sons & daughters-in-law, Leroy & Bonnie Roberts of Laurel, Indiana, John Jr. & Donna Roberts, Timothy & Carol Roberts all of Metamora, Indiana and Lonnie & Kami Roberts of Morris, Indiana; two sisters, JoAnn McQueen of Clay County, Kentucky and Earlene (Jethro) Murrell of Jackson County, Kentucky; a brother, Donald (Josephine) Russell of Clay County, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. ROBERTS, LENA MAE WILSON

Booneville, KY – Lena Mae Roberts, 91, was born September 10, 1916, one of 14 children to Mattie Turner and Pet Wilson of Cow Creek, KY in Owsley County. She passed away November 30th at Memorial Hospital in Manchester, KY, after spending six weeks in the Owsley County Health Care Center in Booneville, where a great deal of loving kindness and care was given to her. In December of 1938, she married Tilmon Roberts, who preceded her in death in November of 1998. She is survived by their only daughter, Ruby Bowling, of Manchester, KY, and two granddaughters, Betty Cornish and husband, Allen, of Lexington, KY, and Beverly Sebastian and husband, Michael, of Brentwood, Tennessee. Surviving also is one very special nephew, Marvin Wilson and his wife Debbie, who have gone far beyond any reasonable expectations to show love and kindness. She is also survived by four brothers, Homer Wilson of Booneville, KY, Carl Wilson of Germantown, OH, Roy Wilson of Raleigh, N. C., and Raymond Wilson of Smithfield, KY, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was a housewife, as well as a worker in the fields with her husband. She was affiliated with the First Church of God and listened faithfully to her preachers on television and radio. Ray Roberts, 68, of Irvine, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014 at his home. Mr. Roberts, the son of Roland and Emily Johnson Roberts, was born in Owsley County on July 31, 1946. He was a roofer and was of the Holiness Faith. He enjoyed trading and fishing and was known for his ability to work on vehicles and his work as a builder. On October 26, 1964, Mr. Roberts united in marriage to Kathleen Hall Roberts, who passed away on November 8, 2011 after 47 years of marriage. Survivors include: three sons: Robert Lee (Linda) Roberts of Berea, Michael Ray Roberts and Marty (Lisa) Roberts all of Kingston; three daughters: Sharon Raye Robertson (Chuck) and Ruth Centers (fiancé: Chigger) of Richmond and Kathy Lynn Jefferson (fiancé: Danny) of Mt. Kendall Tree Cutting Service and attended the Spencer Fork Baptist Church. His Mother, Mrs. Bertha Jean Roberts of Booneville, KY; and two brothers: Mr. Gary Roberts and Mr. Darrell Roberts, both of Booneville, KY. Tyner, KY – Steven Dewayne Roberts, 40, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2007, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Steven was born October 5, 1967, in Irvine, KY. He is survived by his father, Ronald Lee (& Barbara) Roberts of Booneville, KY; his mother, Lucy Mae (& Gene) Martin of Annville, KY; and his companion of 18 years, Norma Oliver; a son, Eric Dewayne Roberts and a daughter, Brandi Daniels, all of Tyner, KY. Also surviving are three sisters, Melissa (& John) Brunelle and Deana (& Gary) McIntosh, both of Booneville, KY, and Regina Lee (& Clayton) Rocque of Richmond, VT; three step brothers, Jonathan and Benny Martin, both of Alabama, and Aaron McIntosh of Midway, KY; a step sister, Terri Martin of MO; his paternal grandmother, Louise Roberts of Booneville, KY; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends and relatives. London, KY – Verlon Roberts, 83, formerly of Owsley County, left this life on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at Marymount Hospital in London, Kentucky. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, as of August 14th, Euleen Bowman Roberts of London; a daughter, Joyce Carolyn Mayes and husband, Bob, of Booneville, Kentucky; a son, James (Jim) D. Roberts of London, Kentucky; three brothers, Clarence Roberts, Island City, Kentucky, Cecil Roberts, Jackson, Kentucky and Edward Lee Roberts of Lebanon, Ohio; a sister, Irma Jean Withrow, Mason, Ohio, also, a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Mr. Roberts was born in Owsley County, Kentucky on October 4, 1922, to the late Roscoe Roberts and Nora Neeley Roberts. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Chester and Danny Roberts; two sisters, Eunice Spence and Betty Jo Gay. He was an Army Air Corps Veteran and a member of the Corinth Baptist Church, London, Kentucky. Mr. William Earl Roberts, 63, passed away January 10th, 2014 following a long illness. He was born February 18th, 1950 in Oneida, KY was the son of the late Elmer and Bertha Bennett Roberts, was a truck driver and farmer, attended the Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Sugar Camp Baptist Church. Bill is survived by his companion: Ms. Edna McDaniel of Booneville, KY, two brothers: Mr. Jimmy Roberts and wife Jennifer of Largo, FL and Mr. Fred Roberts of Ricetown, KY. Five sisters: Mrs. Geraldine Smith of Winchester, KY; Mrs. Janie McIntosh and husband Pete of Booneville, KY; Ms. Teresa Roberts of Ricetown, KY; Mrs. Maggie Draper and husband Alvin of Jellico, TN and Mrs. Sharon Noble of Wolfe County, KY. Three former brother in laws: Mr. Jim Noble of Ricetown, KY; Mr. Hobert Beard of Booneville, KY and Mr. Charley Chandler of Booneville, KY. There are also several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Elmer and Bertha Roberts, one brother: Troy Roberts: five sisters: Carol and Brenda Roberts, Ruby Chandler, Betty Noble and Mary Rose Beard and two former brother in laws: Jimmy Dale Chandler and Roger Smith. Booneville, KY- Millard O. Robertson, age 82, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Cambridge Place Nursing Facility in Lexington, KY. Millard was born February 10, 1933 in Manchester, KY, a son to the late Dan and Debra (Allen) Robertson. He was a factory worker, retiring from General Electric. Millard was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Owsley County Historical Society, the Three Forks Post 11296 Veterans of Foreign Wars in Beattyville, KY, and a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Booneville, KY. Claude Robertson, age 78, of Carlisle, OH; went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday February 23, 2010 at Hospice of Butler/Warren Counties. Claude was born in Booneville KY on November 24, 1931 to James and Lucy (Moore) Robertson. He was a member and former pastor of Cherry Valley United Baptist Church in Hamilton. Claude was preceded in death by parents, sisters Esther Stevens and Fannie Ball. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Juanita (Thompson) Robertson; sons Greg (Barb) Robertson of Middletown, Wayne (Paula) Robertson of Middletown; daughters Charlotte Johnson of Franklin, Bonnie Pelfrey of Franklin; 9 grandchildren Lindsay (Andy), Andrea (Blake), Jimmy, Jordan, Zack, Joey, Shelby, Jennifer, Nick, and special buddy Sabrina; a brother Ellis Robertson of Booneville, KY. Betty Lou Robinson, 77, widow of Harmon Robinson Sr passed away January 29, 2009. She was born March 17, 1931 in Owsley County to Freddie and Edna Edwards. Mrs Robinson had lived most of her life in Madison County and was a member of Grace Wesleyan Church. She is survived by: one son, Harmon(Anna) Robinson Jr, four daughters, Carol (Tim) Casteel, Charleen (Bill) Robinson both of Estill County. Debbie (Tim) Robinson of Richmond and Barbara (Mike) of Knott County. Brother Billy (Marcel) Edwards: two sisters, Susie (Melvin) Head, and Louis Edwards. 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. On Dec. 26, 1953, she married Irvin D. Rose in Three Rivers. He died Nov. 9, 1994. She had lived in the White Pigeon area since 1952, coming from Kentucky, and was employed by Greenfield Research for several years. She enjoyed cooking, canning, baking and most of all her family. Surviving are two daughters, Donna J. (Jimmy) Whitt of Sturgis and Karen M. (Lynn) Bowen of Goshen, Ind; a son, Ronald D. Rose of White Pigeon; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Jean Bowling of Booneville, Ky.; four brothers, William Bishop of Booneville, Jesse Paul Bishop of Melbourne, Fla., Ellis Bishop of Burkeville, Ky., and Scott Bishop of California; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Callahan Rose; an infant son, Kenneth Rose; brothers, Fred, Lester, and infant brother Dorsey; sisters Maude Hicks, Gertrude Venable, Mable Jones and Dorothy Arnold. She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Rose of Lexington, KY; son William Edward Rose (Belinda Congleton Rose) of Flowery Branch, GA, granddaughter; Jennifer Elizabeth Rose of Atlanta, GA; grandson, James Douglas (Candice) Rose of Braselton, GA; sister, Fannie Belle Venable of Mason, OH; and a host of family and friends. Mrs. Rose worked in Lee and Owsley Counties for more than 39 years before moving to Lexington, Kentucky. Rose Mary Hensley Rose, 91, of Ridgeland passed away at Willow Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation in Byram, MS on June 29, 2015. Rose Mary was born in {*Owsley Co.} Kentucky on August 15, 1923 to Nancy Elizabeth Fowler and Fielding Hensley. She is preceded in death by her parents and eleven siblings {* and her first husband, Robert P. Edwards & her second husband, Ben Rose}. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Edwards Broadrick (Gary); son, Jim Rose; grandchildren, Tom Broadrick, John Broadrick, and Kelly Rose; and great grandchildren, Julia, Aaron, and Carolyn Broadrick, and Hailey Rose. Hazel Green, KY – Rosemary Johnson Rose, 73, formerly of Booneville, KY passed away at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was born in Hazel Green, Kentucky. Rosemary and her beloved husband, Billy G. Rose, lived in Bella Vista, Arkansas for three years. She loved to travel, read and spend time with her family. She was a member of the Christian Church, a lifelong member of the National PTA and a dedicated community volunteer. She leaves behind her husband, Billy G. Rose of Hazel Green; four children, Diane, Paul, Ray and Rebecca; two grandchildren, Nathan and Nicholas; and her brother, Byron Johnson. Rosemary was predeceased by her parents, Arch and Angie Rose Johnson; and her brother, E. A. Johnson. ROSS, JEANETTE METCALF

Jeanette Ross, 75, of Connersville, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Reid Health, of Richmond, IN. She was born December 23, 1940 in Brookville, IN, one of two children of Lester and Mattie Scott {* daughter of Charles & Sarah Margaret Meade Scott} Metcalf. She came to Connersville for residence with her family and graduated from Connersville High School in 1959. On December 31, 1965, she was married in the Calvary Baptist Church to Alvin Kenneth Ross, who survives. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and homemaker. A faithful member of Connersville Baptist Church, she was a Sunday School Teacher for over 20 years. Survivors besides her husband of 50 years, Alvin Ross, include a son, David Ross, of Connersville; a brother Leon Metcalf and wife, Tonda, of Connersville; a niece, Elaina Metcalf, of Shelbyville; a nephew, Michael Hudson, of Connersville; two great nephews, Kayden Schie, of Shelbyville, IN and Mitch Hudson, of Connersville and a great niece, Aniya Schie, of Shelbyville, IN. She is preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 12 PM (Noon) Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Connersville Baptist Temple with Pastor Tim Billups officiating. Mrs. Katherine Ross, 82, passed away September 30, 2012 at the Lee County Care and Rehab Center in Beattyville, KY, following a long illness. She was born May 10, 1930 in Owsley County, KY, was the daughter of the late Matt and Rachel Mays Ross, was a homemaker and was a member of the Lee County Church of Christ. Mrs. Ross is survived by one daughter: Mrs. Jennifer Barrett and one son: Mr. Gary Lynn Ross both of Booneville, KY: three grandchildren; Mr. Travis Barrett & wife Ashley and Mr. Dustin Barrett all of Booneville, KY and Mr. Chris Ross of Florida: one great grandchild; Dylan Barrett of Booneville, KY. Also surviving are four sisters: Mrs. Ruby Lynch of Richmond, KY, Mrs. Gladys Ledbetter of Muncy, IN, Mrs. Gwen Price and Mrs. Freda McWhorter, both of Hamilton, OH and one brother, Mr. Bobby Ross of Berea, KY. Also there are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Eudella Cole and Irma Lakes, brothers: Leon Ross and a grandchild: Cary Ross. Booneville - Samey Rowland, age 79, widow of Sharilda (Biggs) Rowland, passed away Monday, June 13, 2011 at the Madison Manor Nursing Home in Richmond, KY. Samey was born in Owsley County, KY on October 12, 1931, a son of the late Mary (Beard) and Lester Rowland. He was a retired farmer, and a member of the Levi Baptist Church in Booneville, KY. He is survived by 1 daughter; Shirley and Allen Hackworth of Richmond, KY, 2 sisters; Bertha Baker of Booneville, KY and Ida Mosley of Manchester, KY, 1 grandchild; Allen Wayne Hackworth, 1 great grandchild; Austin Wayne Hackworth, and a host of many other loving family members and friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Amanda (Wilson) Rowland, and 1 sister; Susie Baker. Kenneth H. Rowland, Age 78, of Hamilton passed away in his home on Thursday January 29, 2015. He was born November 16, 1936 in Hamilton the son of the late Hubert {*possible s/o John D. & Callie Evans Rowland} and Nellie (Brandenburg) {*possible d/o Marion & Clara Holcomb Brandenburg} Rowland. He worked at SOS in Hamilton where he retired in 1997. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and joking around with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Marlene (Perkins) Rowland of 42 years, his best friend and buddy Max; brothers John, James, Earl, and Frank; sisters Irma, Phyllis, and Mabel. He is survived by his children Dennis (Carol) Rowland of Indiana, Katherine Sue (John) Bekemeier, Tina Marie Mills, Timmy Joe Rowland, Kenneth H. ROWLETTE, JAMES D.

James D. Rowlette, age 70 of Hamilton, OH died March 3, 2010 in Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. He was born in Travelers Rest, KY on August 17, 1939, the son of Swift and Bess (Wilson) Rowlette and was a 1957 graduate of Fairfield High School. On April 28, 1962 in Hamilton, he married Lois Jean Rice. Mr. Rowlette had worked as a deliveryman for the Hamilton Journal News for forty years, retiring in 2008. Survivors include his wife, Lois Jean; his mother, Bess Kramer; two children, Doug Rowlette, of Hamilton and Melissa Radley, of Cincinnati; five grandchildren, Bradley, Eric, Sarah, Casey, and Emily; two great grandchildren, Skye and Grace; two brothers, Larry and Ron Rowlette; two sisters, Charlene Rice and Bonnie Cruthers. He was preceded in death by his father and his step father, Raymond Kramer. Andrew “Andy” Russell, 68, of Sextons Creek, Ky, was born January 22nd 1941 Owsley Co.,Ky. and departed this life on April 11th 2009. at the Manchester Memorial Hospital, Manchester, Ky He was a member of Clarks Chapel Baptist Church of Sextons Creek, Ky. He is survived by his wife Audrey Russell of Sextons Creek, Ky, 2 daughters, Lori Turner of Fairfield, Ohio, Tammy Deck of Moorse Hills, Ind, and 1 son, William Russell of Milan, Ind. 1 Step-daughter Myra Frost of Sextons Creek, Ky, 7 grand-children and 3 step-grandchildren. He is also survived by 1 brother, David Russell of Brookville, Ind, 1 sister Ruth Benear of Douglasville, Georgia, 1 half-sister, Annette Shannon of Georgetown, Ohio and 1 step-sister, Linda Couger of Georgetown, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Russell and Zola Byrd Russell Cavins. He was an inspiration to all who knew him. He will be missed by his family, friends, neighbors and church family. Howard Andrew Russell born March 5, 1979 and went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 24, 2016. Howard was of the Baptist Faith. He was a self-taught diesel mechanic who worked for South KY RECC, and a volunteer fireman at Pond Creek and Gray Hawk Fire Departments. Howard had a passion for helping others in need and was a true friend to those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Howard was preceded in death by his grandparents Andy & Ruth (Creech) Brown, Parkey & Edith Russell. Also, by a loving Aunt Shirley Brown. Howard is survived by one daughter, Hailey LaShay Russell, his mother, Geraldine Brown Buchignani, by his twin brother, Charles (Lindsy) Russell, two other brothers Wayne Russell, Gary Russell and a sister, Becky Russell. Maysville, KY – Winnie B. Russell, 80, of the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Owsley Co., passed away Thursday, February 9, 2007 after a long illness. She was born on October 1, 1926 in Lowndes Co., Mississippi to the late Robert Lee White and Viola Herman White. She was a retired cannery worker. She was the widow of Fred Russell. She is survived by three daughters, Linda Coger and Annette Shannon, both of Georgetown, OH and Ruth Benear of Douglasville, GA; two sons, David Russell, Mt. Carmel, IN and Andrew Russell of Booneville, KY; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and two great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years (Fred Russell); her parents; two brothers, Clarence and Herman White; and two sisters, Katherine Peters and Grace Stallings. Funeral services at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2007 at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home with Rev. Lucian Estridge officiating.
